Every time I visit Plymouth I make it a point to go to the Fortescue. The Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the endless ales and ciders on tap. If you want the best pint in Plymouth, this is exactly where you’ll find it. The atmosphere is fantastic too, this pub has a personality all its own and great to visit any time of the day and any day of the week. Why settle for second best?

Came in on the Thursday evening before Christmas 2022. Pleasant and the good selection of well kept beers (most of which we’d never heard of) made for a quiet and uneventful pint and chat.

I booked a table for the last England game. We had a great table and good view of the TV. Amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff who were only too pleased to help make our evening a great one. Large selection of Ales and Ciders. Also the whole place was wonderfully decorated and had a real festive feel to it.

Great Pub. Came in on a Sunday for a roast and had the beef. Extremely friendly staff. Especially our server, Simon, who met us with a smile at all times. 100% would recommend to anyone as the atmosphere is excellent.

Hi there, well there's a box of worms..... if by craft ales you mean small batch production using quality ingredients in interesting styles, then that covers most of our real ales and craft Ciders. If by craft ales you mean fizzy mass produced keg stuff from the 3 main brewers who use the term craft ale as a marketing tool then i guess no. We have punk IPA in bottles which sort of falls in between. I hope this helps :-)
