Not a very warm welcome. Average food. Had to pay for the drinks upstairs at the bar and the meal separately in the restaurant. When I questioned got short shrift - "Separate business!" from a stern waitress. Won't be going back.

We visited for Sunday lunch with friends. We chose roast chicken and roast beef. Both extremely good, nice and hot, plenty of tasty vegetables. The pub offers good ales such as Seafarers and Directors. Totally satisfied!
Came in for a swift half on warm dry weekday lunchtime. Codgers (a bit like us) in the bar. We thought maybe we'd have a pasty and a pint but there was no one else eating and when I put my head around the door...More

Sorry for that. I'm not sure what time you came in. We only serve food between 12 and 3, if it was between those times the barmaid would have happily given you a menu.

Of the three village pubs in TF this is the food most appropriate for older folk. Although it has a Thai orientated kitchen and conservatory the pub itself is very traditional 1960s in its approach and seems to deal well with retired and elderly patrons....More
