I really like this shop in every way and no occasional disappointment will deter me from coming back and back. Just a little sad that the wide range of deck shoes no longer included my favourites although the kindly man explained that the brand has become so expensive he had to source others of he felt equivalent quality from another... Visited this store whilst on holiday, nothing was to much trouble for the very kind lady that severed me. I must have tried nearly every top on in the shop and still didn't make up my mind. She was very patient and didn't push me into buying anything and even told me if the items I were trying on look... More

Old fashioned shop but with a huge stock and helpful staff. Few places like this remain anywhere. Take a look. You don't have to buy but may be tempted.

If you need outdoor or sailing kit and live within reach or are visiting and walk along Southside Street then I strongly recommend that you take a look in here. There are very few shops like this anywhere and no others that I know in Plymouth. Pensioners and kids also love it.

My children love this shop. Stock hung and stuck everywhere. Interesting stuff. Amenable staff, nice old world clothes smell. Great selection. Just feels great to browse and buy.

Last year we kitted out our three under 10 year old kids with deck shoes, boots and foul weather kit for dinghy sailing and cruising. We could have gone online and hoped that sizes would be right or gone to some upmarket or discount boating outfitters, (of which there are none in Plymouth) but my wife had bought stuff here... Agree with earlier comments. This very little shop has so much and a good deal of character. Not just traditional clothes either.

Smallish shop absolutely packed with good stuff in old fashioned setting with really helpful staff. Wide range including best brands. An experience just to go and look.

One of I think three or four branches nationally of a very long established shop selling good value robust and necessary gear for fishermen yachtsmen and other watersports or those who wish to pose as such. With an old and very traditional shop fronted in the older part of the Barbican's Southside Street, you cannot enter without being almost overwhelmed... More
