10 of us stopped in here on Friday at about 6.15pm and had some fantastic gin cocktails truly superb. We then left to go to dinner at a pre booked restaurant on the barbican. After dinner we thought we would finish with another sophisticated gin cocktail, sadly we were told we couldn't go in as it was by reservation or... More

Quite what the Pilgrim Fathers waiting nervously in the old Barrel Vaulted refectory would have made of the Distillery's Cocktail bar with it's purple walls, glam bar, and 57 % proof G& t's ... who knows, but I bet they'd have appreciated the gorgeously comfy sofa's ! We didn't do the tour and couldn't eat at the restaurant as Plymouth... More

We took the tour which was really interesting and was followed by a large G&T in the fantastic bar. The building has been going since 1400 and is steeped in history. Highly recommended if you're visiting Plymouth.

Excellent tour, gained great information and knowledge about making Gin. Opportunity to taste the Gin and ask advice about mixers with various Gins! The Tanners cafe is in house. You can purchase Gin in the shop. Staff helpful and friendly .

Heavenly! Astonishing history to look at, Wonderful mellow music to listen to, First Class drinks and nibbles to taste, Aromas of food, nostalgia and flowers, and a touch of comfort to plop into - (never mind the extremely clean and hygienic bathroom!) You will never want to leave!! Except to visit the shop, or tour the distillery. An excellent place... More

My boyfriend and I had booked a tour but had had to cancel it. The operator on the phone said it wasn't a problem and can book it for another time....6months later and we finally had the time so we called back up expecting to be told we couldn't go because we left it so long, but with no problem,... Grab a chance to see where good gin comes from. Interesting tour on the factory for a small fee and then let loose in the shop. Good way to spend a couple of hours

The tour is relatively quick at around 40 minutes, but is good value at £7 per head. There are 2 other more expensive tours available where you can make your own gin. Lots of facts on the timeline going back to the building's original use as the friars' refrectory. Then you get to see the still room and the impressive... More
