Our holiday always begins with a short drive to the Port to aboard the Brittany Ferry. Overnight cruises to Roscoff with a cabin are a great start to your French holiday!

Check in at Portsmouth was excellant with helpful polite staff making sure that we and the car were safely on board. We have taken every France uk crossing Brittany ferries do and they have always been on time, clean and great services. Staff are helpful and the cinemas are handy for the teenagers. Cabins are practical and comfortable

Every trip is improved by food from their quality restaurant. The shops and cinema are also worth using to break up the journey.

I have never seen a ferry be loaded so slowly. 15 minutes after the boat was supposed to leave we are sitting watching 3 crew directing 1 lorry every few minutes with absolutely no sense of urgency. We have 3 children with us and had expected to be on board by 11pm at the latest, but it's already 11.30pm. Won't... More

10 years of Brittany and still the same excellent service. It doesn't matter which route you take its the same brilliant service with a smile. Yes, sometimes you encounter the somewhat famous "Brittany loading delays" but it's all part of the experience and never really goes much beyond 15 mins. The one thing you can rely on us the food... We have been doing this crossing for approx 5 years. We travel with a group of friends, between 9-15 people and have always had problems booking a table to accommodate everyone in the main restaurant. Last year after boarding I was the second person in the queue to make a table reservation for our party. I was VERY rudely told... More

I know you end up at the top of the peninsular but the fast crossing makes it worth it. We boarded at 5pm French time and were on the A3m at 7.10 pm English time. Fast boarding and we were lucky to be off quickly. Thought the food on board was very good value - I had the strange but... More

Caen to Plymouth, July 2016. Good crossing, calm weather, a few minutes late leaving but not a problem to us. Quick and easy check-in, sniffer dog and customs looking in most caravans and motorhomes - sensible and so much more friendly and polite than any airport. We paid the £5 each for reserved reclining seats, my guess is that we... More
