A great start for any new cyclist. A slight steady incline through the woods ending at the Skylark pub on dartmoor. Burn off your pub lunch back down the trail to your car. Beautiful views!

Enjoyed walking this trail. Flat and pleasant and easy to walk. You have to keep your eyes open for cyclists - but it is a cycle trail!

A lovely long woodland trail on Tarmac with history to add to the interest. The Plym Peregrine project that runs in spring and early summer allows everyone a glimpse of these spectacular birds.

What I like about this trail, I have done it a few times now, is that it is really quiet as there are several parralel walks /cycle rides at the beginning so making it very quiet and never busy. Lovely scenery any time of year and a pub to finish with!

Love this trail! It is relaxing, scenic and usually quiet. If you have to come with a dog, please make sure you clean up after it - and don't just hang the bag in a tree!

Visited in glorious spring day from Plymouth park and ride car park by Plym valley railway just off the A38. Lovely route, gentle incline, nice wide track all the way to clearbrook alongside and high above the river. Beautiful scenery, old viaducts, tunnel and a pub at the end perfect. Then joined the adjoining drakes trail from Yelverton which eventually... More

A great ride, you feel the climb on the way up towards the end, but the ride back down is so easy and fast! Highly recommend starting from NT Saltram House.

Whether you are a beginner looking for safe and straight or on your way to Tavistock or Dartmoor this is one of the best cycle paths in Devon. This now extends all the way to Clearbrook and joins Drakes Trail and others to make for a great day out. Lots of families use so ride carefully. Some amazing off road... More

A well-made, easy route - full of beautiful scenery and so many places of interest. One keeps stopping to enjoy. A bit narrow in places (and always watch for faster bikes from behind), but mostly very smooth and manageable, Fascinating from end-to-end, may I thoroughly recommend the Skylark at Clearbrook, also the café at Saltram House - worth the slight...
