We booked Exe Adventures' Paddle to the Pub package for a group of 8 friends celebrating our 40th birthdays, and it was a brilliant experience from start to finish. The booking process was smooth thanks to Sam's clear and helpful communication. On the day, we were picked up right on time, and the equipment provided was in excellent condition. The clear (and fun!) guidance and instructions ensured that we felt comfortable and safe on the water. The Turf pub was also stunning, friendly, picturesque and the food was delicious. We all left wanting to do it again if we find ourselves in the area. Highly recommend Exe Adventures for a fun and well-organised outdoor activity!

Excellent way to spend a few hours and get to see some beautiful scenery while navigating down the Exeter canal. A nice stop off at the pub for a bite and a pint. Sam and his assistant Rory are top guys, super friendly and interesting to talk with. They picked us up and dropped off at our accommodation, gave us good instruction on how to use our paddleboards as my partner was a first timer and great price for what you get out of experience. We will definitely be hiring from Sam next time we're in dawlish. Kyle + Kat

Amazing adventure. 3 adults an 8 year old and a 5 year old all on a Mega paddle board down the Exeter Canal to the Turf Hotel. So much fun. Sam was a great leader who put everyone at ease. Would recommend this experience to anyone. It really was the highlight of our holiday!

We arranged a summer social for our teaching team with Exe Adventures. We hired the giant paddle board and some Kayaks. Sam and Rory were friendly and really helpful. They had a great knowledge of the area and were able to give lots of good tips to those of us that were first timers. They were on time to meet us and get us set up with everything we needed for our paddle to the pub. Really great fun, would 100% recommend to young and old.

We had a lovely outing we had children 6, 10 and 12. Myself and 6 year old in a twin kayak, my fiancé in a single kayak, 10 year old son in a kayak and 12 year old daughter on a paddle board. We went down to the turf pub had a drink then paddled back. Be careful of the thick weed as you can get stuck in it as we found out with paddle board and ended up giving a rescue tow. Was a really good way to kill a few hours it was quite expensive but think it was a really good experience as a family think to get out in the great outdoors. Would recommend going down to the pub as then we were with current on way back to make it easier for tired children. Thank you Sam and Lily for your help

Family of 6, Two adults and 4 young teens.

Sam picked us up from our campsite for the drive down to the river exe canal.

We Booked the pub paddle, which is a selection of boards and kayaks, but as there were no other guests we were able to just choose what ever we wished so took a double kayak and 4 single kayaks.

Again as it was just us we went solo and there was a choice from the landing can paddle up the canal towards Exeter and double locks pub, or paddle down to the turf hotel where the canal joins the estuary.

Lovely leisurely solo paddle as a family, and stop at the turf hotel for snacks and a drink ( Note the turf hotel does require you to be sat a table so if it is busy and you haven't booked then you need to wait but it was only 15 - 20 mins on a sunny sat afternoon)

3 hours total, then dropped back at our campsite, so it is excellent value for money. And great service

Will definitely use again and probably just book the board and boat rental so can just choose what we would like.

Great afternoon in kayaks and paddleboards with a cheeky stop for a few beers (and cokes) and chips thrown in. Picked up from site, assisted in to the water and three hours of paddling all made for a great value for money experience for 7 of us. Thoroughly recommend.

Sam is great. We travel down to Devon yearly in August and go kayaking everytime we come with him. Myself, husband and 3 dogs (2xbichon and 1xgolden retriever) are always welcomed. There's plenty of room for the dogs and they thoroughly enjoy it. They always get fussed as well. The pub at the end is a bonus. They serve amazing food and drink.
We also met Andrew Who is helping Sam he was lovely and very helpful

After phoning , emailing , text messaging and messaging Exe adventures through their own website they Didn’t bother getting back to me in regards to making a booking to go on a kayaking trip whilst holidaying in nearby Dawlish . 2 weeks have gone by now and still no response. Very disappointing and poor service.
