Visiting Exeter we made a beeline for the castle, not knowing much about it. There isn't a lot to see, but walking around the old gatehouse proved to be a good start to a walk around the well preserved city walls.

No longer a castle although the remains are still there. No longer a Court either but an amazing place for weddings and conferences of which I have attended both.

Beautifully kept castle and grounds right in the heart of Exeter. The gardens connect the city without you even realising it. A must see if you’re visiting.
