We recently moved to Exeter and thought it would be good to join one of these tours to learn more about the city. We were pleasantly surprised that they run the tour even on a bank holiday Monday! We had a lovely tour guide called Robert. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and he gave us a very informative tour... More

Robert was our tour guide. He was great, gave us the history of Exeter with amazing enthusiasm. Get to see a lot of the town so it's great for people trying to find things to do later on in their stay. Just generally interesting to know about the buildings and history of the area

This was our first visit to Exeter so we decided to take a guided tour. Arriving at Exeter Central Rail Station we headed for the city to the meeting point on the cathedral close. Our group was made up of 18 adults some of which were overseas visitors. The tour itself took two and a quarter hours from the assembly... More

We joined the Quayside walk. This free walk was a generous couple of hours, and besides being of great interest, was indeed a proper walk - out along the canal, and back beside the river. Our guide was brilliant - enthusiastic and brimming full of historical and current details of everything we were looking at. The high point for me... More

Did the Roman Tour and whilst the volunteer guide was still learning the route and about Rome in general, the tour was still fun and informative

Being a group of 10 people, I don't have to book! The only thing you have to do is to be at the right moment at the Cathedral Close! A friendly (probably retired) man had leaded us on a trip across cemeteries and churches. Creepy but amazingly interesting! Must do it!

We were pleased to take a very good free Georgian-themed walking tour of Exeter. Exeter is fortunate to have so much of its history preserved and shared by these guided tours. The tour included a quick look at an historic pub, George's Meeting House, and we returned there on our own for a good meal.
