Had the most amazing time, the highlight of our trip to St Mawes, James was an absolute champion and really looked after us well, we got a real taste of the local culture and caught plenty of mackerel. He went the extra mile by gutting the fish for us and we will 100% be coming back to him next year. Cheers James, from Tom and Andrew.

What a great use of my weeks holiday in St Mawes. Though the weather was definitely not perfect everyone was determined to have a go and James was very helpful. After heading out to a few different spots with very little luck James was determined we would all have a chance to catch a fish. With much perseverance we finally found a great spot with the biggest catch being a large bass. I highly recommend booking this if you are in the St Mawes area.

What an amazing afternoon out with James. Very well organised and incredibly knowledgeable of the area. We saw dolphins and caught 20+ fish in less than 2 hours! James is a great host and skipper and it was a fun day out with the whole family. A must do when in St Mawes

5 of us went, 2 adults and 3 boys 12-14 years, first time fishing and everyone throughly enjoyed it, we caught plenty of mackeral and a few sardines. James was a great host, knowlegable about the area and taught us how to fish. Was amazing how many we caught. Overall a great experience and if this even slightly interests you, just go ahead and book it, you wont be dissapointed! Thank you!

I reluctantly agreed with my Husband to go on a Sea fishing trip with him. I was a bit nervous at the start of the trip but the whole experience of seeing the beautiful Cornish coastline from the Sea and James's relaxed and friendly manner soon put at stop to that. As you sail along you pass the St Anthony lighthouse and have great views of St Mawes and Pendennis Castle. James patiently explained what to do and even when I forgot what I was suppose to do he very patiently told me again, more than once. I am almost shocked at how many fish we caught, well over fifty, returning most back to the Sea. James unhooked all the fish from the lines and also cleaned and gutted the fish we were taking home. A superb experience which I cannot recommend enough. This would be a great trip for the whole family, young or old. The mackerel was on our dinner plates within a hour of arring on shore, very tasty!

Me, my partner, and our two mates went on a half day’s fishing trip with James. It was fantastic, we caught too many fish than we knew what to do with, including a 7 pound pollock, some pouting, and plenty of mackerel. Plus, we’re lucky enough to have beautiful weather, saw some dolphins, and James took us to his crab pots to have a gander. James was very professional, obviously knows his stuff as a St Mawes local — a true salty sea dog. Would recommend to anyone in the area, a great day!

Excellent morning fishing mackerel with James. We had perfect weather, and it was lovely to be on the boat exploring the bay. James is an excellent host, knowledgeable fisherman and has fantastic stories to tell about his fishing career in Cornwall. We were very lucky and caught 15 mackerel. Couldn’t recommend this trip more.

7 of us went on a half day charter with James and caught enough Mackerel, Whiting and Pollock for 11 people to have a BBQ feast. The fish were descaled and gutted for us and we even got advice on how to cook it all. On top of that we got a educational lesson when pulling up the crab and lobster pots! All 7 of us had a great time with no complaints

James is a fantastic relaxed host who just wants everyone to have a successful day. There were three small family groups on the boat today and between us caught 14 mackerel and sardines. Very nice day, excellent value for money (almost to good, bit don't tell James ☺️)
Even had us some good weather!

The communication in advance was easy very friendly and arrangements were done by phone with James. We, two Boys and dad went out with two other couples, james was really nice, helpful and we came home with 9 Macrels after only app 2 1/2 hr fisching. We BbQ the fish with 8 in the evening and it was great 👍🏻
We would go with James Any time again
The town St Mawes around the harbour is also very nice, my wife and daughter stayed there’s during our trip
Thank you James

Why does this appear on a map of London and is stated as being 0.2 miles from Buckingham Palace? I searched for things to do near Buckingham Palace, London and this came up! I've been to St Mawes and it's nowhere near London!
