James is a fantastic relaxed host who just wants everyone to have a successful day. There were three small family groups on the boat today and between us caught 14 mackerel and sardines. Very nice day, excellent value for money (almost to good, bit don't tell James ☺️)

James is an excellent tour guide and skipper. He knows the waters and where to find fish. I have never caught a fish before but with James's guidance, it was easy. The children were totally engrossed in the sea tour and the fishing and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Highly recommended. We caught several Mackerel which will be BBQ´d tonight !

I reluctantly agreed with my Husband to go on a Sea fishing trip with him. I was a bit nervous at the start of the trip but the whole experience of seeing the beautiful Cornish coastline from the Sea and James's relaxed and friendly manner soon put at stop to that. As you sail along you pass the St Anthony lighthouse and have great views of St Mawes and Pendennis Castle. James patiently explained what to do and even when I forgot what I was suppose to do he very patiently told me again, more than once. I am almost shocked at how many fish we caught, well over fifty, returning most back to the Sea. James unhooked all the fish from the lines and also cleaned and gutted the fish we were taking home. A superb experience which I cannot recommend enough. This would be a great trip for the whole family, young or old. The mackerel was on our dinner plates within a hour of arring on shore, very tasty!

We had a great fishing trip with James. He gave us a great explanation about using the rods and was always on hand to help bring the fish in. He also gutted all the fish that we caught ready for cooking that evening. It really was a perfect end to our holiday; beautiful weather and a great guide. We would definitely do this again. We enjoyed a really lovely fishing trip with James on a recent holiday. We had some success with mackerel (& also caught a load more horse mackerel & whiting that we had to put back) but would have been perfectly happy if we'd caught nothing. James did go to a huge amount of trouble to ensure we had some success though!

7 of us went on a half day charter with James and caught enough Mackerel, Whiting and Pollock for 11 people to have a BBQ feast. The fish were descaled and gutted for us and we even got advice on how to cook it all. On top of that we got a educational lesson when pulling up the crab and lobster pots! All 7 of us had a great time with no complaints

Excellent morning fishing mackerel with James. We had perfect weather, and it was lovely to be on the boat exploring the bay. James is an excellent host, knowledgeable fisherman and has fantastic stories to tell about his fishing career in Cornwall. We were very lucky and caught 15 mackerel. Couldn’t recommend this trip more.

My family and I had an utterly fabulous mackerel fishing trip with Captain James! We all loved it! We all caught mackerel. JAMES made sure all the family had a wonderful time. The scenery is so beautiful with the castle , lighthouse and estuary. Couldn’t recommend it more highly! If James would have had space we’d have had another trip during our holiday on Fish and Trips!

We've been a couple of times with James now and always enjoy ourselves. We caught some fish and James is a great host with lots of information. I would definitely recommend.

5 of us went, 2 adults and 3 boys 12-14 years, first time fishing and everyone throughly enjoyed it, we caught plenty of mackeral and a few sardines. James was a great host, knowlegable about the area and taught us how to fish. Was amazing how many we caught. Overall a great experience and if this even slightly interests you, just go ahead and book it, you wont be dissapointed! Thank you!
