a tiny puppet theatre, with lovely shows and a super atmosphere. You almost feel as if you are a part of the show! Great for the kids, too, when the weather is not so good - but even on a good day, it's great for a break from the beach! Congratulations to the owners - very creative and so clever! Thank you for adding yet another dimension to St Ives - I'm sure you will become a legand like so many other areas of the town.

We went along to see a puppet show at the Boathouse at the ripe old ages of 64 and 59 and luaghed our socks off. The puppets are brilliant and the plays a loevly twist on old stories. the proprieter is excellent too.

So glad we visited this tiny theatre - our children loved it! A warm and friendly welcome, totally engaging show, and great atmosphere added up to a really memorable experience. A venue like no other, and definitely not to be missed if you are visiting St Ives.

We went to see Witchwood & Jo Jo, a puppet show.
I liked the building, it is small and very compact with bench seating.
I liked the proprietor, he was helpful seating you in order that you had a good view and were not looking at the back of someones head. I still found it hard to see and to hear above the voices of children and crunching on rice cakes. My 5 year old enjoyed it.This is definitely the smallest theatre iv'e been in. The show had good scenery and lighting which I assume was authentic of an old puppet show. I didn't think much or the puppet show itself but the theatre is worth a visit just for it's quaintness and quirkiness. We were served orange squash and biscuits half way through. Cost £4.50 adults £3.50 children for this performance. Lasted an hour.

My (grown up) daughter and I had a marvellous visit to this theatre, an early evening trip to see WHODUNNIT. The clever cast had us spellbound as they amused and thrilled us with a detective story with a Cabaret twist. All in the comfy but glamourous converted boat house! What a bargain -- and left plenty of time to go out for supper afterwards.
At other times, they do lovely shows for families and children
In the play, WHODUNNIT, two talented actors Nicole Tesseyman and Jason Calder play six parts. The drama is written by Jason Calder and directed by Robyn Calder in an excellent production which uses imaginative staging and sound to take the audience to an historical American city setting. FANTASTIC! not to be missed. A BARGAIN £8 outing. Book to make sure of a seat on 07985 261181

The perfect, puppet experience. Based on traditional themes it is great fun for all age groups, be prepared for a little interaction and getting close and personal with 'Harry'. We spent a thoroughly magical time in this gem of a theatre, it is probably the smallest we have ever been to, but my son says it is the best theatre in the world. Especially when we were served juice and biscuits in the interval and visited by 'Harry' the puppet too. The theatre was easy to find and accessible even though it was tucked up a little lane off the Harbour, all this added to the excitement. We would definitely visit again.

A little gem of a place! Great atmosphere, and you are right in amongst the action. Well worth a visit especially on a rainy day. The 'crew' or 'team' are just as quirky as some of their puppets!

Went to see Witchwood with my daughter. Great intimate theatre, friendly atmosphere & the puppet show was great. Some genuinely funny material, very well performed and worthy of a much larger theatre. Highly recommended.

Just go along and experience something a little different...'little' being the operative word. You have to applaud the passion... barkingly beautiful venue.
