Although I have visited St Ives I have never visited this beach. It is in beautiful location. We had 20 minute walk to the beach, it's not a large beach and because of this people don't seem to bother about invading other people's space which made me feel uncomfortable , there was alot of people and that's why personal space... One of the less sheltered parts of St. Ives but still really nice. It is surrounded by a car park which while convenient can spoil the sense of nature a little. There is a nice cafe and a small number of lucky people have one of the huts to shelter in. It is pleasant but there are better beaches in... More

A short walk from St Ives harbour and on the east side of "The Island" this sheltered sandy cove is ideal for families. There is a pay and display car park nearby but unless you arrive very early in the morning it fills up quickly in the morning and driving through the narrow streets of St Ives is not recommended.... A charming little beach! The best time to visit is definitely the evening when all of the crowds have gone. The beach is so quiet and therefore is an excellent place for an evening game of Frisbee, followed by a walk around the town...

Great sand, smashing safe waves. Pretty amazingJellyfish in the sea. Built a boat and a sandcastle with a feather flag. Gulls a bit of a pest whilst eating, but otherwise fantastic time.

There is a carpark right near this beach, which is why we stumbled upon it. It looks like a lovely beach, and must be lovely on a sunny warm day! Nice and quiet in April!

Clean, sandy beach with fab beach chalets to change in & store everything, great waves for bodyboarding & fairly well sheltered compared to Porthmeor beach next door.

Been to St Ives several times before and had managed to overlook this lovely beach! Really pretty bay a short walk through the back streets behind the harbour. Family friendly with beachside cafe and toilets. There are also some beach chalets up on a terrace which I presume are for hire. On the day we visited the sea was turquoise... More

This is a fantastic little sand beach with all amenities needed for a great family day. Rocks are situated either side of the beach and is a great place for rock pooling. Gentle sloping beach down to the sea, toilets at the top near a shop and a cafe, and takeaway place on the entrance to the beach. Does get... More
