Walked along here yesterday in brilliant sunshine with friends and our dogs. Tide was out so plenty of beach to ourselves. Dropped down to the beach from the coastal path which we joined at Carbis Bay. Two coastal paths run either side of the railway track along the cliff top. We made our way to Lelant. No facilities, for those... More

Followed the coastal path from Hayle Saltings to St Ives. Walked along this vast beach. Beautiful sandy beach. Be careful to watch the tide. Two exit areas at far end if the beach ,- the last point to get off the beach involves scrambling over holders. Need to be fairly agile to do this.

This huge beach is a beautiful walk next to a golf course. Dogs are allowed and for variety you can climb the coast path back.

Such a lovely area to visit and walk. The wife and I went for a long stroll on wet and windy day, it certainly blew the cobwebs away. Highly recommend a visit.

Worth the walk down the steep coastal path that we took, vast beach good for bathing but don't get caught by the tide at one end.....!

Great low tide walk - take the train up from St Ives and walk back - it's around 3.5 miles and its, er, flat all the way. Stunning views and great lunch options en route at Carbis Bay and Porthminster.

We were looking for a beach away from the crowds & Porthkidney was a good choice- there's a bit of a walk to get there but lots of beach when you do. The estuary side of the beach has a bad riptide so we took the kids further along where it was safer; the water remains shallow for a good... More

We stayed only five mins away from this beach and although it was a real clamber down over tricky rocks we loved the beach. Very expansive beautiful sand and hardly any other people ever on it. Shells in abundance. Great for the family but no good for babies or elderly due to tricky climb down and up!
