A fantastic dog friendly beach situated at Lelant near St Ives wouldn't recommend this beach to anyone who is either in a wheelchair or unsteady (elderly dogs included ) on their feet as access is via some very steep steps

This beach does not get too busy, plenty of space for your dog to run free, beautiful sandy beach and crystal-clear turquoise sea,

Long curving sandy beach close to Lelant and adjacent to coastal path. Took our Portuguese Water Dog here several times during our visit to Cornwall. The tide comes in and can limit the access but you can also reach the beach via the coastal path so it is not problematic. The water is glorious turquoise even on a misty day.... More

Wonderful beach. 10 minute walk along the coastal path from Hawkes Point where I was staying. Very small part of the beach is dry sand, however, as the tide comes in a very long way. Very thick wet sand hard to walk in at times but nonetheless beautiful.

We came across this beach walking from St Ives to Lelant, and it's a superb stretch of cleans and which makes a welcome diversion from the SW Coast path. Easy to get a train back to St Ives.

Our doggy had an amazing time on this beautiful stretch of beach just outside St Ives. It was a bit difficult to find and we had to ask locals for help! We did find that then we arrived we appear to be in a local residential area but parking was fine and the beach accessed by a beach path past... More

This wide expanse of golden sand can be accessed via the coastal path from Carbis Bay (but it is a bit of a trek) or via the Hayle River estuary area where there is a pay and display car park. This can be accessed via a small road running adjacent to the West Cornwall Golf Club. Its a lovely beach... More

Wonderful beach, sand dunes behind and a coastal path behind that. No facilities as such but that's what makes it great

This beach is just perfect for getting away from it all. It's so big you can be all alone, the feeling of openness is fantastic. It's a lovely walk if you park at St.Uny church and walk through the golf course and down the steps under the quaint railway line to the sea.

Fabulous beach recommended, and used by the "locals" during summer when they want to get away from the "grockels" (holidaymakers). Bit of a walk over the golf course and free limited parking BUT NOT ON GOLF COURSE car park. Take your own drinks/food picnic!
