Good old traditional pub

A traditional pub with lovely food. A hidden St Ives gem. Homemade food at cheap prices. Look forward to coming back again in the Summer.

We took a break in Cornwall and happened upon this quaint looking pub and noticed that they did scones with clotted cream. So we went in and ordered 2 one for each ( or at least that's what we thought) our lovely pot of tea came and not long afterwards came two huge plates each with two quite large still... More

We popped in here as we liked the look of the outside, old and quaint. It was very quiet but chap behind the bar was very friendly, good selection of local beers and ciders, lovely inside, lots of dark wood and a nice atmosphere. My first visit and will be back

Excellent pub with a friendly barman and a fine selection of real ales in top class condition. Live music three nights a week.Interesting customers who were first class entertainment.I have been coming to St Ives for thirty five years and I can't believe I have missed this gem.

We visited here a couple times and look forward to going again next time I'm in town. Lots of real ales and ciders, the staff were great. There's live music several times a week. Great atmosphere and well worth a visit.

This pub has a really good choice of real ales and ciders and was very friendly. We ordered soup and sandwiches. Prompt service and sensibly priced, but spoilt by the bread which was very dry. Could be a one off- after all it was Christmas Eve.

We popped in for a drink n I enjoyed a mulled wine. There is a great quaint vibe & a warm welcome. Its a great dog friendly pub too. The food looks good & a great choice although we had eaten so we're not even tempted by the puds. Great pub.

Popped into this pub last week. Well out of season and quiet and I really wasn't expecting much. Much to my surprise, the food was excellent, in fact probably the best steak and ale pie I have had in a pub. Very reasonably priced too - just £7 each. Nice friendly staff so would definitely recommend.

Wonderful old Cornish pub, no frills or comfy sofas, proper atmospheric pub, warm and welcoming, good pub food, smiling staff, good ales, walls of interesting old photos of Cornish history, floods and ship wrecks and big seas. Good music several times per week. Excellent highly recommend stopping for an ale whilst walking down Fore street

Good real ale pub, friendly staff, busy even in the winter months. They also have bands on at the weekend.
