Brilliant Pub

So many pubs these days aren't really pubs, they are just restaurants serving drinks. This one is a real pub. Cracking jukebox. I love this place.

Fairly small place, but okay, sky sports etc. Well popular with the locals, but can be a little bit rowdy, but not for me sorry.

Having read a number of poor reviews on the Three Ferrets, which I admit put us off trying it out before, on our third short stay in St Ives we decided to give it a try. We found it busy, friendly, warm, clean, & full of folks relaxing & enjoying themselves. The service was excellent, both afternoon & evening -... More

This pub is a proper traditional pub, it cancels the stereotype of pubs being top bistros that do food and nothing else. If you have a thirst, quench it here. Drinks are reasonable, music is always pumping and the atmosphere is alive! On our visit, we were made welcome with the staff being nice and helpful. This is a very... More

If you ever tire of the achingly middle class establishments that litter St. Ives now days I can do no more than recommend The Three Ferrets to you. Whenever we are in town we always pay a visit to this pub. It's a no frills, down to earth place. It's where the locals drink and we love it, super friendly... More

A fairly intimidating frontage gives way to a fairly intimidating interior....if you're a great big chicken with no appreciation for colour and individuality in people!! We were immediately welcomed by Adrian, a retired session guitarist, who explained that everyone there was a nutcase, and that he thought we would fit in very well! Characters include a hippy Dumbledor, Iggy Pop,... More

What a great pub ! We have been to st ives a few times and missed this one before, it's one room with a pool table and great music playing, the first time I went in its full of locals (some rum coves as Stephen Fry might say) but every single one of them had a ready smile and loved... More

Rather than the heavily touristed pubs in St. Ives the three ferrets is a "real" pub. Cheap beer, good atmosphere. Only place I go.......

Uninspiring frontage. Downmarket signage but actually very relaxed welcoming and entertaining. Add in the convivial spirit of the regulars and staff, the well kept selection of beer, and we were left with an entirely acceptable spot for a few pints.
