Kidz R Us is an extraordinary youth theatre group, working with around 100 young people a year, aged seven and up. A not-for-profit arts charity, we aim to encourage the participation of young people in the performing arts and behind-the-scenes crafts, both for their own personal development and the benefit of the wider community. Production standards are high and since being formed in 1994, we have produced over 70 shows and won numerous awards. Kidz R Us was a finalist in the Best Arts Project category of the 2010 National Lottery Awards and is a recipient of the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. Our Artistic Director, Phil Barnett, was awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours List 2012, and we are honoured to have Sir Tim Rice as our Patron.

We took our Rainbows and Brownies to see their production of Cinderella. Thoroughly enjoyed this, as good as some professional Pantos that we have seen. A brilliant, talented Theatre Company. They deserve our support.

Kids R Us always put on a fabulous show which belies the ages of its performers. Cinderella was no different with great performances across the board, especially the Ugly Sisters who were both completely hilarious. Hard to believe they were only 16 or so! This is always such a friendly and cosy panto and we'll definitely be back.

Went to watch phil and friends last night! Was blown away by all the talent involved in the show. Every soloist and group performances were incredible. Couldn't fault anyone. My highlights of the night had to be Molly hocking singing movie in my mind, the dames extract from the pantomime and the cast of sister act singing raise your voice.... More

Booked tickets at the last minute when we saw Avenue Q listed in the St Ives Festival program. Really glad we did - the performance was excellent, the company has some very talented young people. The St Ives Theatre is an old building staffed almost entirely by volunteers - it couldn't be more different to west end theatres. Small, utilitarian,... More

These two shows continue to reach the excellent standard we have come to expect from Kidz. We have been so impressed with the standards of performance achieved that we have become Patrons even though we live 250 miles away! There is so much talent on display here developed through workshops, a disciplined approach to rehearsal and experienced directors that the... More

Whilst the word 'Kidz' is in the name of the company, this is great quality theatre suitable for everybody. The production we saw, Disney's The Jungle Book, demonstrated a high level of professionalism from the cast that was far beyond what one would expect from actors of such a young age. They were an absolute joy to watch and they... More

We were staying at St Ives & walked past the theatre and popped in to see what shows were showing. We met Phil the theatre director & bought tickets for both of the shows. We are great fans of musical theatre & we have to stay that both the shows were fabulous & highly entertaining , one tragic the other... More

I hope no-one is put off attending by the "Kidz" part, thinking this is anything less than an extremely professional set-up, producing performances of the highest quality and choreography (easily equalling the West End production companies). Every performance I have seen has had me drawn in and moved. I am astounded that this is volunteer based yet so tightly run.... More

This is an extremely professional production by a group of, mainly young people, who obviously live and breathe what they are doing. A very talented group. I saw the show recently and it was my first experience of Kidz R Us I hope to be able to see another production soon. JCS is being staged in the Redruth theatre on... More
