This was a fascinating pottery and museum. Loved the film made by Bernard Leach in 1952. Such important history. I really learned a lot.

Very interesting, although the film they offer is in a strange position to watch. There is not enough to explain pottery processes for the uninitiated, but there is a lovely atmosphere of peace about the place and many examples of ceramics to wonder at.

If you enjoy art and pottery this is a must see. Fascinating film about the Pottery and Leach himself and a look at how things are made and the machinery and kilns used. Well worth an hour or so.

Brilliant museum and a walk through the whole process as it was in 1952 and is still being worked as a living process! We bought two Senior tickets with Gift Aid so we can come back again and again. It's such a treat to see...More

I visited with friends, and none of us are pottery buffs particularly. But this working pottery plus museum was a great little pitstop. We had a look around the pots on display, which were really cool and showed off different techniques. Then you go into...More

I've been here a couple of times over the years and every time I look forward to the next. They had a free 'throwing' activity for kids and adults on our latest trip which was quite busy. The volunteer was very nice and helped us...More

A must see in Cornwall for any pottery fan. You can see the studio where Bernard Leach worked, watch a charming vintage film of his work and philosophy and even try your hand at the potter's wheel. The shop has a good collection of recent...More

A fabulous museum and working pottery. It is well worth taking the time to watch the film that runs as it gives a greater insight into the history of the pottery and the processes that go into making the pots. It was fascinating for us...More

Trudged up the hill from St Ives to The Leach Pottery, reasonable admission price with concessions, excellent self guided tour if you are a Ceramics aficionado.

I've coveted Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada's work since I took up pottery over 20 years ago, yet this was my first visit to this hallowed land! The museum is a fabulous insight into the working life of the Master Potter, preceeded by ample displays...More

Hi - we do have visits from caoch parties from time to time but there is no parking on site for coaches. Coach drivers will usually drop off visitors at the Pottery and then park up nearby. We can provide discounted rates... More
