Dolly P is the blue boat operated by St Ives Boats from the harbour at St Ives. Dolly P, is a Lochin 33, a 10 metre boat powered by a 350hp Volvo Penta engine, for a fast, stable and comfortable ride. We are licensed by the MCA to carry 12 passengers up to 60 miles. Our most popular Trip is the one hour trip to Seal Island, which we run hourly (weather permitting) on a daily basis. Seal Island is home to a colony of Grey Atlantic Seals and is 6km west of St Ives. The boat, Dolly P, clings to the coastline before reaching Seal Island where the boat stays for 15-20 minutes to observe the seals. The other boat trips we offer are trips to Godrevy Lighthouse, trips to Hell's Mouth and Private Charters, including Ashes Scattering Services. We also offer Fishing trips from St Ives, both 1 1/2 hour Mackerel Fishing Trips and 4 hour Wreck and reef Fishing Trips. Bookings can be made by Mel, who you will find Outside The Lifeboat Station. Or phone to book

The only reason why im writing this review is to warn peoples. Me and my wife ment to take boat trip but in the and we decided not to and i think that was a good decision. The biggest minus from what we saw was the way You had to board the boats. There is a small motorboat that You... More

Please note that if you had decided to take a trip with us, you would have been fully briefed on the conditions for loading on that particular day, before we booked you. We do try to ensure that our passengers are prepared. All our vessels are tested by and conform to Coastguard Authority standards. St Ives is a tidal harbour... More

My family and I took a boat trip on Dolly P to Seal Island. It was amazing!! Even before we left the harbour we were visited by a friendly seal. Lovely boat ride up to the island, where we saw plenty of seals basking on the rocks of the island, and many more in the water, curiously approaching the boat.... More

The trip on Dolly P to see the seals was nice enough, however the problem was the smaller boat you get onto to go back to shore. It was quite clearly too choppy for us to be out and the guy steering the boat couldn't moor it because of the huge waves so he immediately turned us round back in... More

My wife and I would love to thank all the crew of the Dolly P, We had an excellent trip to Seal island on the 1st of September for our 15 year Wedding anniversary. From start to finish, Mel looked after us, informing us of what would happen on the trip and everything she told us happened. Mike the skipper... More

Plenty of seals were seen quite amazing really at how close they was to us. Certainly worth the money for an hour would certainly do it again and reccomend to... More

We arrived at the lifeboat station and were greeted by Mel who i have previously spoken to on the phone to make our booking. We did call up on the morning and wasn't impressed with the woman on the phone. Told us we needed to be there half hour before the trip started for a briefing... Got there paid... More

We wanted to visit Seal Island on the 25th July 2016 and St Ives Boats were brilliant at accommodating myself and my son on board Dolly P. Mel, the lady I spoke to about our booking was an absolute star. Her customer service was exceptional and her service was just the start of our amazing experience with St Ives Boats.... More
