I think it is the best beach in the UK. Beautiful sand, light and clear green/blue sea. Plenty of space and great location to bars, restaurants and shops.

Beautiful, golden sands. Lots of space but get there early to enjoy at its best. A lovely location to relax on the beach and watch the boats go by.

I love this beach, it is so clean and beautiful. Sand is almost white and waters shallow, ideal for young children, but not so good for keen surfers as totally flat waters. Be aware dogs are not allowed on this beach between May-Sept - total...More

Superb white sand, clear blue/green water gentle slops and lots of beach shop cafe access. Surf shop and surfers did not intrude on sun bathers or swimmers, life guards present. Lovely clean safe beach

Having had such a crap experience at Alba, Porthminster was a delight. Out guest enjoyed the welcome , service and the food. We enjoyed the welcome, note the word, welcome, the experience, the lunch. No grumpy pretentious fresh attitude.

It's a very beautiful beach with sparkling sand and clean water. But parking was a nightmare. It took us about an hour to find a parking spot and we had to cross though extremely busy and tight streets. Beware of seagulls. They will come very...More

Nice beach with nice sand. Can get very busy in summer. There is a good surf spot down the end which again can get busy. Nice for a walk in winter .
