Great Beach

Fabulous beach for family, great takeaway for lunch or brunch. A gift shop for those beach essentials. The ice cream is good but be mindful of the sea gulls.

Stunning beach if we had the weather all the time this place would be absolutely amazing. Please look at my photos to see the views.

Beautifully clean beach. Good facilities. Everything from posh nosh to takeaway, loos close by. You can rent deck chairs and umbrellas too. Have never seen the sea too rough there as it is more sheltered on this side of the bay (East)

Absolutely beautiful anytime of the year. Always clean. A bit packed a peak times understandably but go February/March and it's deserted.

I really enjoyed my day in Porthminster beach. The beach is quite big, the sand is clean and it's not too hot. The water unfortunately is very cold, but it's very clean. I definitely recommend to visit this place if you are in Cornwall.

Look at the view you could be anywhere tropical in the world, the water seems bluer here and so does the sky, its the st ives magic light.

Beautiful beach with good facilities around about. Easy access for pram and plenty places round about for eating. Watch out for seagulls as they will take the food out of your hand. St Ives is lovely for a walk Round and definitely recommend the lifeboat inn on the harbour for food if you have a family.

Stunning beach! we spent many lovely family days here and the kids could not have had a better time. Good facilities nearby, and a stones throw from the railway station which takes you back to Carbis Bay 3 mins! The beach is immaculately clean, but don't even think about trying to have a relaxing picnic or even an ice cream... More

...,there's nothing quite like the seaside in this country when the sun shines. Plenty of space, good facilities nearby and easy to get to from the train or bus station. Perfect.

Had the urge to go to st Ives by train. After lunch we headed to the beach. This is a beautiful location with golden sand, clear seas and great amenities. Beware of the hungry greedy seagulls around they took my ice cream out my hand! Also there was a queue for the women's as some of the cubicles were locked!... More
