Parking is nightmare but the one in one out system at the car park works if you persevere. You can hire a beach hut for £100 a week which is well worth it if you're staying a while to dump your stuff off in. Surf is good, cafe is amazing and facilities are great!

Very crowded in high season, but lovely sand & great atmosphere. Sea is cold, lots of people wear wetsuits when body boarding or swimming, but I found it exhilarating! Plenty of lifeguards about, up to people to do as advised re: swimming & body boarding & surfing.

The beach is beautiful, and the evening skies are perfect, but the loud music from beachside bars is deeply obnoxious. Parking is impossible.

This is a lovely beach. Beautiful senery over the Atlantic ocean. You can regularly sea seals dolphins and the odd basking shark.

The body boarding is fantastic at both low and high tide but is quite a walk to get to the sea at low tide. I would recommend going body boarding there and also the rock pooling is also very good there. I would recommend going.

Fab beach, furthest to walk to from St Ives town but only took us around 15 minutes walk from the coastal train stop. Beautiful bay, when the tide is out you can walk out into the sea for quite a way..great for kids. No massive waves but fine for body boarding, particularly for the kids. As with all St Ives... This is the best beach in St Ives. Surfers & boarders paradise. Good local cafes , pubs restaurants close by. Cafe / shop & toilets on the beach area. Lifeguards on this beach. At times like a city of tents & windbreakers.

Went here for a few hours whist on holiday in st Ives , intended to spend the day but had to leave due to a few local teens smoking weed on the beach near by ! Disgusting especially as we had young children with us ,but they weren't bothered at all . Put me off going there again , Portminster... More

I found this was a better beach with one restaurant close by with toilets and beach services. There are a few close car parks but are dear then the others with max 4hrs parking. You have to walk threw the shops to get here/ The beach is supervised by NRLI and you feel safe. My children were watched by the life... More
