Another great beach, but what is so neat with this location is being able to walk down right to the bottom of the piers when the tide is out, taking in all the boats sitting on the sandy sea floor. then before you know it, the sand is covered in water and the boats are bobbing up and down tied... Fantastic surf on the day we were there, well guarded by lifeguards and full of people all enjoying themselves. What more do need for a recommendation?

A bit more rugged and open than the harbour or Porthminster beach. A bit more windy but a nice beach on the walk way around the north side including breakers for surfing. In front of the Tate Museum. Minimal views of the town.

Just a glorious sweep of beach, a delight to walk along, to see the amazing views. Just a paddle in September, but a must for a swim in the summer.

Nice beach , gentle breaks, north facing... well protected. Nice little beach for all levels of surfers. Nice scenery with St Nick's chapel on top of the head land.

We sat watching the breakers and the surfers, then OMG as we walked toward rather Zennor side of the beach we saw a seal in the water, then one sunbathing on a rock and only 5 minutes from the town centre. Wonderful a really truly amazing sight. Go surfing, bathing or go dine at the cafe. Everything for a family... More

Hey guys, I don't surf, but plenty of people and a surf school tell me that this is good to get started on. It's a wide beach with lifeguards and a cafe + amenities. It's St Ives, so be prepared to leave one of yur party circling in the car looking for parking while you surf. Chances are, you'll be... More

We visited the beach during the evening as we were dining closeby. It was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, some people even done a little a bonefire. The next day we went during the day, it was sunny, full of people, surfers and super sunny. Nice waves and well surveilled by lifeguards. Come equipped with your things such as food... one... More
