Love Carbis Bay as it's a lot quieter than St. Ives which gets very crowded in the summer. The beach is fantastic..... but be prepared for a steep walk down. Not easy if you have deck chairs & beach stuff to carry. The building work & cranes weren't so good and detracted from the beauty.

Absolutely gorgeous sandy beach. Lifeguards on duty which is good. Suitable waves for bodyboarding. Parking at hotel is overpriced at £10 per day but you cannot leave and return without paying again!!! Station car park £5 for the day but is a distance to walk with small children. There is another car park further up which is £4 for 24... More

Lovely beach but glad we stayed in St Ives harbour as there's everything on your doorstep there...amazing beaches and coves, amazing shops cafes and entertainment... We chose to do the 40 minute stunning coastal walk to Carbis Bay (tough on the calves but worth it!) but you can get a £4 return train which takes 5 minutes. Didn't think it... More

Parked at the top of the bay in residential part and the walk was down a beautiful winding path through woods. It was a crowded beach as quite small but sandy and short walk from one end to the other.

Lovely little bay with lots going on. Plenty of great places to eat (we went to HUB which was fantastic). The coffee/ice cream shop we went to wasn't so great - don't recall the name. Didn't spoil our visit though. The bay was so beautiful. I've never seen sea water that colour before and I'd say I'm fairly well travelled!... More

We recently stayed in a 2 bed Apartment , 17 Kelwyn court which sat at the top of "the Valley" in Carbis Bay...this was a great place and the owners were really helpful. Our two week stay was brilliant, I had forgotten what a beautiful part of the world Cornwall is. The location is perfect, you can walk into St... More

Stunning Bay 5 minutes drive to St Ives Town. Would stay in this area again! Beautiful blue sea and golden sands, we were told this bay is man made.

Visited here with my wife and two kids (7 and 10). We ordered two cream teas, which were fantastic (and huge) and the kids chicken goujons looked amazing. When I queried getting a cream tea without the tea (for my son) the chap taking the order said not to worry and put a free scone on the plate. Top man!... More
