Have stayed here for years and it's brilliant. Close enough to walk into St Ives, close enough to A30 to get to Newquay or Redruth with ease. Good selection of restaurants and shops in and around Carbis Bay.

We were staying at the Carbis Bay Hotel, so this was just outside. Very convenient and beautiful. It did get a bit busy, but we were there during the mini-heatwave in mid July 2016. Beware the nearby restaurant though as a bit pricy. They could do with the the building works (a sea wall?) being finished. They have been ongoing... More

Stumbled across this beach and so happy we did. Golden sand, clear water, lifeguards, paddle boarding and safe- no waves! Highly recommend! A smallish beach but room enough.

Carbis bay feels untouched by developers and oozing with bags of character. You could be anywhere exotic in the world on this beach! What more could you want? Soft white sand, rolling green hills around the bay, a lighthouse on the horizon, a sweet little train line up in the cliffs, clear blue/green sea and caves in the cliff edge...... More

A little bit out of the way from the main tourist area around St Ives means it wasn't too busy when I visited, even though it was a glorious sunny day. Didn't spot much in the way of parking spaces, so if you can leave the car behind (local buses pass nearby) then so much the better.

Beautiful beach with a stream so you get children can play. Water is calm and clear so good for little ones who aren't too sure yet. The downside is that unless you can get parked (£10) at the bottom of the hill then you have a pretty impressive hill to tackle before you get anywhere near the beach. Going down... More

this place is probably the nicest beach I've been to in the UK, parking is really limited and its a huge hill to walk back up but it is absolutely worth the walk, the water was clear the sand was clean and the view is amazing

We visited on a beautiful sunny day and it is breathtaking. Blue water, golden sands so pretty. This is one of the best places to visit in Cornwall.
