Truly amazing, a much bandied about word but this really is. It makes you wonder how it was done. They are magical. They are works of art and history and culture. The fields are lovely and the views, go at sunset or sunrise for best results. Link in with the Merry Maidens. Cross from the road over a field and then the next field for the second one or approach from Boleigh Farm.

Interesting standing stones just scross the road from the Dancing Maidens. Cornwall is loaded with standing stones and these are some of the best examples. Well worth the drive through the countryside. Be careful of the mileage signs, they are never accurate: or a Cornish mile is twice and English mile.

The Pipers is very close to the Merry Maidens stone circle which is worth the trip but the Pipers on its own won't justify it. It's a simple standing stone.

Part of a small group of local neolithic formations.
Sit and ponder in awe at the times gone by.
Not so easy to find, and a bit of a trek, but worth it if you're into prehistory.

a bit of a trek for those with mobility problems.B3315 seems to have been a popular rd for the Neolithic and Bronze age folk{Humour?} so you can visit four of interest within a mile of each other,Merry Maidens,Tregiffian burial chamber( the position of this is inaccurate on the google sat: image,it is on the roadside verge) & Piper 1&11.
Ideal way on a fine day for a picnic,so have a go.

Unlike the Merry Madens which its location is just off the main road with a clear footpath gate, the Pipers are not easy to find! Well worth a visit though as they are much bigger stones than the Merry Maidens and are quite spectacular (both stones are more than 4meters high).

The easiest way is to go through the campsite near the Boleigh Farm on B3315. You can see the tip of one of the Pipers once you get into the campsite. There is a path to go through the hedge between the campsite and the Pipers field.

Park near Boleigh Farm and walk towards the Merry Maidens after 2-5 minutes take the first right onto a grassy lane, easy to spot the Standing Stones from the road. It is possible to get closer for a clear picture.
