Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity.

It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds.

Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats!

See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels.

And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more.

Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

We received a friendly welcome from the staff. As we visit mid-week at the end of September is was quite quiet, which was good, so no queue. The ticket was also valid for 7 days so good value for money. We were blessed with good weather so able to move around the park easily, with a nice layout - not... More

The staff are friendly, helpful and seem to try there best looking after the animals, but the animals are depressed and in small enclosures can't help but feel sad looking around. it is also not a good place to take a pushchair or a toddler who is unsteady on their feet as it is very uneven and the play area... Came from Plymouth for the day. I must say it's a lovely little Zoo. It's not a full day out but what is there is not bad at all. Loved the lions

This is quit a small zoo but is great for kids as there are lots of animals and things to do. The petting area is great for young children and the goats are lovely. Nice areas to sit outside and have a coffee and an ice cream and the food in the restaurant is good too. Well worth a visit.

Lovely zoo with a good variety of animals that looked content and well cared for. Big enough to be interesting but not so big that it would take too long to walk round and leave you exhausted.

Newquay Zoo is a nice place to visit while in Newquay, while it has a nice range of animals it is big enough to get round without the little one getting tired. As well as the animals there are a few other activities for them to do

The weekly pass at this zoo makes it great value if you have kids who love animals as you can call back and forth throughout the week. The first time we visited was on a rainy Saturday morning, but there are plenty of places to shelter away from the shower, although you would get wet if it was constant rain.... More

Lovely little Zoo with lots to see! Well worth the entrance fee as you are given the opportunity to get up close to the animals which adds to the experience. We were lucky enough to find the Lions in their inside Den who more more than happy to play about and give us a show. We spent around 2 hours... More
