Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity.

It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds.

Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats!

See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels.

And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more.

Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

If you're looking to kill a few hours this is a nice place to go but it is small. You have to pay for parking too. Some nice animals tho.

We have visited before 4 years ago. Zoo smaller than I remembered, however son enjoyed it. Good that you can return for free over 7 days however you can easily see all animals in under 1.5 hours. Lion feed time was excellent. Too many people smoking around zoo which did put me off watching certain animals while with my young... More

Visited today as on location with family. Daughter aged 6 loved it but not the biggest or best I've been too. Exceptionally clean and animals looked very healthy. Car parking not free and expensive! you have to pay per hour and difficult to judge as you don't no how long you will be there for depending on your stay....

When you have been spoilt with Chester zoo and Blackpool zoo, this zoo is a bit poor. Good value for money though as we got to see Lions and penguins.

We headed here on the first full day of our holiday as it wasn't beach weather and had a fab day. My children who are 6, 3 and 1 really enjoyed themselves. They especially loved being able to feed the Meer Cats. There is also a couple of play parks on the way round which is a bonus. Only negative... More

Wasn't expecting much from a holiday resort zoo but was pleasantly surprised. We all had a great day and were able to walk there from Newquay town centre.

Visited 27/7/16 , with two children . We bought family ticket . Visit was nice and we spent 4 hours. The only downside is car park you need to take change with you to pay or have a card handy with a mobile phone to ring ad pay online. Various animals good tours with zoo keepers. Few talks and animal... More

The Zoo is a great day out, plenty to see and do. Lovely cafe and picnic areas. The ticket can be used all week, great value for money, we sometimes go back just to use the cafe.

I've been to several zoos and it's safe to say this is not the biggest. But there is a large selection of animals including three sibling lions that all entertain and are obviously well looked after.
