Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity.

It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds.

Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats!

See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels.

And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more.

Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

Fun fun fun, we had a fabulous family day out from 7 months to 70 we were 23 people and managed to all eat together in the cafe and wander around and still keep together. The zoo is great, not too big but really fun, loved the keeper talks, very informative but also light-hearted. The cafe food is very good,... More

At first we thought the entrance fee was a bit steep but found out we were able to go back all week with our tickets. This worked well for us as we first went on a Monday hoping to see the lions get fed but they only get fed 5 days a week (not Mon or Tue). I think they... More

This is a lovely little zoo, the animals as very very well cared for, the snacks, ices and food is over priced, i advise a picnic or a packed lunch, makes a lovely day out rain or shine.

We visited the zoo whilst on holiday. It's a lovely place to visit and see and doors everything in the day without feeling rushed to see it all. It's not the biggest zoo but we really enjoyed being able to take our time. We listened to all the talks and the girl who did them all certainly knew her stuff.... More

Decided to go to the zoo on a drizzly dull day. Plenty to do and plenty of indoor stuff to do also. Both my children loved it ( 9 and 4 yrs) . Little bit pricey but you can go back all week for free so that's quite a good option if your struggling for things to do. Good range... More

£6 to park, £27.20 to get in for 2 adults and my son was free. Very small was over with before it started. There is a lovely park next to the zoo so save your money and go there!
