Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity.

It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds.

Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats!

See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels.

And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more.

Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

This place overall was a good experience, although my child seriously hurt herself after fall over on uneven surfaces, this is my only negative about the place, the staff are helpful and friendly, there's picnic spots and the variety of animals are good! They also have a cafe. Not a bad price either. We will return!

Had a nice visit to the zoo. Good for children with enough to see. I don't think you could spend more than 3hrs there though A nice way to use up a couple of hours.

My wife and I along with our baby daughter had a lovely few hours strolling around here, plenty to see but don't expect Chester or longleat size. It's a quaint little sanctuary with the added bonus of lions, we paid £27 for us all which included a donation to the zoo. Well worth a visit if the weather isn't great... More

We arrived at the zoo just as they had opened so it was peaceful to walk around and see the exhibits without the crowds. It was a smaller zoo compared to Paignton zoo but was just as good with smaller animals. We managed to get around the zoo in just under 2 hours but we didn't stay for any of... More

What a delightful little zoo. Expectations were surpassed. Worth going to each of the feeding sessions as keepers give a talk about the animals as feeding takes place. There are funny, informative and you get right up close to the animals. Lots to do and see and the welfare of the animals was top notch. Meerkats were class, Red Pandas... More

We went here on a Sunday morning first thing as it opened so it was particulary quiet. The parking is pay and display as it is a public carpark also serving a fun pool / swimming pool nextdoor. I could imagine at peaks times, it may be harder to park. It cost about £22 for one adult and one child... More

We loved it! A bit wary after reading reviews but so glad we chose to go. Have to pay for parking but it isn't too bad, especially if you go to the water park too which we didn't have time for but there's a lot in the same area as the zoo. Highly recommend Wednesday-Sunday as they feed the lions... More

Having visited many zoos I was expecting something similar I was very disappointed with this zoo we had walked round it in an hour and a half. Nothing jumped out at me there wasn't as many animals as I expected if u just want to pass an hour then visit here.

I can only recommend this venue for everyone. Entrance fee is fair and they currently let you return everyday at no further cost in the week of your visit. (There are terms so check before leaving) A very interesting and informative zoo with a good variety of animals. You are also quiet close to some of the animals as the... More

What amazing work they do. We went to two talks which were both good and very informative! Incredible animals which looked well kept and had enriched environments. It rained most of the time we were there however they have a range of indoor and outdoor enclosures for all weather. Lovely coffee shop with a variety of choices, just wish the... More
