Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity.

It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds.

Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats!

See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels.

And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more.

Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

We visited as a family of 5 with ages from 3-73 and we all had such a great time! As many other reviews on here say, the zoo is smaller than many others but for our family it was the perfect size for the little legs of my 3 year old and the old legs of 73 year grandad! Being... More

We visited Newquay Zoo whilst on holiday and it was worth while. The only bad point is the car parking which is not owned by the Zoo but by the local council, it is awkward to park in and expensive. The Zoo however is good value for money. When you enter you have the option to revisit again as many... More

Great zoo for the whole family but didn't like the fact we had to pay for parking ... I've never known this to happen in any other zoos we've been too! So because we only paid for 4 hours we had to rush around the zoo which spoilt the day slightly!

We recently visited Newquay zoo on during a short break in Cornwall. Firstly it cost us £6 to park the car, which we thought was expensive, then it was a further £30 for our entrance fee.., this was for myself and my husband. I m a wheelchair user but no concessions were offered. There was a disabled toilet near the... More

Visited with my son aged 10 and his friend same age and his mum. Not keen on zoos for the small enclosures for animals and animals looking sad . Newquay zoo is fantastic. The animals were well cared and looked after. The lion enclosure was way too small for the three lions and definitely could do with a major expansion!... More

No matter what age you are, whether a couple, family or alone. You will enjoy a relaxing, fun, friendly time. Watch them feed the penguins, see the chameleon, meerkats are great to watch. They have loads of animals big or small and fun to find. Would highly recommend.
