We had walked from nearby Towan beach when we found ourselves on Tolcarne beach. It was busy with water sports but was nice to see kids getting involved. The sand is quite shelly but not uncomfortable. There are food and drink outlets and beach huts as well as wetsuit/surf board hire. There is a very steep set of 100 steps... More

We went with young children as there is a car park nearby amd parking near other beaches was impossible. There is a steep walk with 100's of steps to get down so inaccessible for disabled travellers. The tide was strong and the beach is covered with rough sand so wasn't the best for little ones. We enjoyed watching the activities... More

Absolutely gorgeous sea with friendly staff on hand at all times. Steep staircase down to the beach however there is a slope for wheelchair users i believe. A cafe and bar on the beach offers welcome refreshment, and the facilities for surfing and bodyboarding equipment are good and reasonably priced. Right near hotels also. Will be coming back again! Safe... More

A very pretty beach. Fairly easy to access. Not easy with a wheelchair but can be done. Lovely feature on the right.

Spent a lovely summer afternoon at this beach and very clean and accessible. Water a bit cold but highly recommended for a few hours sunbathing!

as a local i have spent many times with my son's school visiting this beach for their 'beach school' sessions. Not the best place if you need to find somewhere to park up but a nice beach to take the family, just the right size beach and not too far to walk out to the sea. A nice cafe on... More

This is a fantastic, readily accessible beach if you're in Newquay. It's clean, sandy & very pretty. A great spot for families with facilities nearby. Lots of sand when the tide's out, but the beach can completely disappear when the tide's in.

A wide privately owned beach. Good for walking along. If the surf is up you can watch the surfers. Pretty cliffs surround the beach.

Lovely views from above and on the beach. The home on the top of the isolated outcrop looks even more amazing from the beach, but beware the steps up away from the station are not for the faint hearted.
