Surfing lessons, and a great tiem

A good beach for learning to surf, and getting better. A wide choice of conditions, and suitable for all.

We come back to Cornwall year after year and go to this beach almost every day of our holidays. We absolutely love the beach, the amazing Rick Stein fish and chips and the relaxing beach bar with wifi and great coffee. This year, we have returned home to find parking charge notices are arriving day after day, demanding £100 for... More

Fistral beach offers some of the most amazing scenery in Cornwall. Arriving at the beach early just before noon we were able to secure a parking spot easily for two cars for a party of 6 including 2 dogs. The beach was clean considering it was a dog friendly beach and there was a good selection of places to eat.... More

Fistral is a great beach for surfing. If there's a swell Fistral picks it up. In the summer it's best to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds and have the break to yourself

Great place to swim, surf, and relax. A lot of places to eat, drink and a clean public toilet too. Great day out with the family.

I have been coming to Fistal beach ever since I was a kid and I plan on continuing doing so. The beach is stunning and perfect for all kinds of activities: surfing/bodyboarding, relaxing and long beach walks. Definitely a must when you are in Newquay!

Lovely beach, however lots of dogs running free doing their business without anyone cleaning up, many dogs are not controlled by their owners

Loved the beach. Wouldn't change a thing except I wish it was closer to home so I could visit everyday!

Amazing beach with fantastic facilities! We loved our time here but we have received 2 parking tickets since due to us not leaving the car park after our 2 hour ticket. We were literally sitting in the car trying to get sat nav signal so we knew how to get back to our holiday home lol we live and learn!... More

To truly enjoy this beach, you need to be a surfer, otherwise it's also great just to sit and watch the surfers, er, surf. Also good to just relax or walk around in or walk the dog/kids.
