We are a family run business based in Looe, Cornwall. Where we run a climbing wall along with canoe, kayak and paddle boarding adventures. We also run other adventure activities, such as bushcraft, mountain biking, hill walking, navigation and outdoor rock climbing. So if your looking for something a bit different to do, come and climb at the new Climbing Wall at The Old Sardine Factory . No experience needed, our team will be here to guide you through the different colour climbs (including chimney climb and traverse wall!) Suitable for adults and children age 4+. Or book on one of our water adventures.

I emailed Paul, who runs Adventure Fit Southwest, a few days before arriving in Looe to check on the possibility of paddle boarding for us - 2 grandparents with two teenage grandsons. He emailed me back with details and a time slot available. The tides were such that we didn't start our session until 6pm. However, the weather was just perfect and Paul and Shannon were absolutely amazing. We all learned how to paddle board and Paul showed us a few technics to help us improve as we went along. They were especially good with our autistic grandson who was a bit nervous initially but before the session was out he was standing up and paddle boarding with confidence. I cannot thank them enough for such a great experience and we will are keen to take up the sport on return to our home. I should also add that the prices were very reasonable compared to others in the area. We all highly recommend this as a great activity for any age group.

We had a fab time on the climbing wall with Paul. When we first walked in I was worried that the space was small and whether there was enough to do for 45 mins, but there absolutely was. The four of us were climbing continually and felt challenged throughout. My 15 year old girls loved it, and found it worthy of their attention for an hour!!

I cannot imagine a better way to try paddle boarding for the first time. The setting is beautiful, the water is very calm and on a (fortunately) sunny morning on the West Looe River, the egrets and herons put on a show for us.
I also cannot imagine a better trainer than Paul, who is hugely good with people, and had an excellent approach to taking a group through simple, clearly explained steps that give you the tools to use so that you can quickly become confident and able to stand and paddle the board. We were two of a group of six and he had all of us standing and paddling within an hour, with only one of the group having previously tried paddle boarding.
He is a pleasure to be with and makes it a great experience.

We keep coming back every time we visit Looe to Paul and Adventure Fit Southwest for climbing and paddle boarding. Paul is a fantastic instructor, very knowledgeable and endlessly patient, he has ignited a passion for climbing in our daughter. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Before coming away on holiday to Looe me & hubby decided to treat our 2 sons & ones girlfriend to an activity they hadn’t done. After remembering Adventure Southwest we decided to treat them to a paddle boarding session. From the booking to the actual session the customer service was great.
What great fun they had & us too laughing at them.
Paul their instructor was great. He explained everything well with humour included. They couldn’t have had a better one. He made them feel so at ease & also gave them some great advise for what to buy if they want to take it up as a hobby. Want to say thanks to Shannon too for chaperoning them. Also want to say nice to meet Joe who was also there.
Definitely recommend.

My family started our April holiday by taking the children (9 and 11) rock climbing. Paul (instructor) has a natural talent/approach with children. My kids just kept asking to go back! We have done it twice so far and, more than likely, we will climb on the last day also. There is a cafe (separate business to climbing) just through the doorway where parents can sit and enjoy. However, we enjoyed seeing Paul’s enthusiasm rub off on our children. Definitely one to go back to and both the children and I highly recommend for all abilities

On holiday from Scotland and contacted Paul about our first time family paddle boarding trip. From start to finish this was an absolutely amazing family day out. He catered from the most cautious to the most adventurist in our party for this trip, explaining all the tips and made it a thoroughly enjoyable trip. We would highly recommend this experience for everyone.
Loved the games and laughter that we had with each other during this experience. Definitely looking into buying boards once we get home.

If you fancy trying something new on holiday, we’d definitely recommend these guys. Paul was absolutely brilliant taking the 4 of us plus 2 others out on the paddle boards. Great at explaining what to do and making the whole experience fun! By the end of the 2 hrs we were so much more confident on the boards. The river surroundings were absolutely gorgeous and the water so clear! We loved it and will definitely be returning next time we are in Looe.

I’m only giving Adventure Fit Southwest 5 stars as I can’t give them 6! My Learning to Lead climbing course was fantastic, perfectly tailored by Paul to continue building on my existing climbing skills. His expertise and safety-focus were obvious from the outset and he personalised his coaching and feedback to match the needs of my wife and I throughout the day. Following my course, Paul has given me the skills and confidence to successfully completed my first lead climb and I can’t wait to climb with Paul again.

We had a fantastic time paddle boarding this week with Paul. We were all a little nervous to begin with but Paul made us feel comfortable and soon had us standing on our boards. The youngest member of our group went on Paul's board and had a great time practising while being safe. Paul is clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about paddle boarding and really wants other people to like it too. His passion rubbed off on us and we are keen to get our own boards now!
