Came across this by chance when walking through Falmouth, we decided to try it out as we have a dog and the tea room was dog friendly. Just wanted a quick stop for coffee and cake.
Once inside we were seated immediately, the menus are a little confusing as we only wanted cake. They had a very busy morning and the cake selection was either lemon polenta or banana/salted caramel as they had sold out of the other options.
We opted for the polenta cake and it was delicious.... little bit pricey at £4.50 a slice but very tasty!
Would recommend to others, it’s worth a visit.

After a disappointing evening meal elsewhere, we were looking for somewhere to have desert and a coffee. With many tea rooms not open and Nero and Costa closed at five, we were about to give up and head back to our B&B. Then we passed Dolly’s Tea Room and ventured upstairs to be greeted by oodles of vintage charm and a very cheerful young lady in 40s dress who welcomed us and showed us to a table. We had a large cafetière of decaf and tucked into their delicious rose petal and honey scone and cinnamon, cherry and sultana scone with blackcurrent jam and clotted cream. The service was excellent, the atmosphere relaxing and all for under a tenner!

This place was very nice decorated and the staff is very welcoming!
We were expected to meet dogs as it said but no dogs at all, which was disappointed..
Scones are great, cakes as well, but I wasn’t expected tea bags for a Tea Time in such a place, but it was good.
Music is lovey, the mood is suitable for family and friends :).
Will probably come back, for dogs!

This was one of the highlights of our holiday in Falmouth. We visited twice and found an oasis of calm and style. Apart from the glorious gin collection, the wonderful tapas and cakes to die for, the ambiance was just perfect. The best way to spend a relaxing evening in Falmouth is at one of the window tables, a glass of G & T and watch the world go by....

Imagine going to a grown up tea party, where they serve Hendricks and tonic in a tea pot with a ice cube of puréed cucumber. It's the Mad Hatter, no doubt! A delightful experience.

While on a holiday to Falmouth my wife and I decided to have a cream tea . We were recommended Dollys Tea Room. We found it above a bookshop on the High Steet, when we entered the tea room we were very surprised at the decor and music which was set around the 1920s/30s. The ambience was very chic with old none matching wooden tables and old fashioned school chairs. The young waitress was lovey and polite and explained the menu effortlessly, bringing us cream teas with none matching crockery which fitted the establishments theme perfectly. Not forgetting Hebe the dog who is always around to mop up the crumbs. Please don't miss out on this little gem of a place you will be sorry if you do.

Fantastic little place, a few stairs to the top, but the place has such character and the staff are so helpfully with their knowledge.

Definitely recommend to nip in and try a few gins

Hidden at the top of some bouncy stairs off the main street , this hidden gem is well worth a visit. The decour is beautifully vintage in style with 1940s era music gently piping throughout to give a great atmosphere.staff were friendly and chatty which made you felt welcome.we had afternoon tea and cakes so were sat in the front room overlooking the main street. The prices are very reasonable. We had chocolate brownies, poppy and lemon cake, local ale and a sloe gin.All was delicious and best cake i've had all week on holiday.gin was aramatic and nicely presented in a monster of a glass...great! Thoroughly recommend.

Don't be put off by the little entrance from the street - upstairs is a quaint little haven from the world. We went early evening for a drop of Dolly's speciality 'gin' and stayed for the evening. We had G&T for two served in a china teapot and cups - great fun. Then had the tapas - lamb tagine, side salad and a whole Camembert with lovely fresh bread. Food was very tasty and good value.
Hebe Dog (with her pearls on, of course) joined us and was a wonderfully gentle and attentive hostess!! Couldn't manage dessert so took time to choose from the extensive gin list and ordered two more - served in huge goblets with ice and garnishes. Great flavours and gave it all a great sense of occasion. Really enjoyed the whole evening. Wish we lived locally as I could see us becoming regulars!!
