Although I have staying in Cornwall many times over the past 65 years, I had never visited Trebah. My husband has very limited mobility and the main reason for our going was the presence of their Tramper Mobility Scooter and the fact that they allow dogs on leads. This enabled both of us and our Golden Retriever to access most... More

Trebah Gardens are quite magnificent, beautifully laid out on the hillside leading down to the sea. There is much to see here with great examples of species rhododendrons, palms, bamboo, gunnera, pines, succulents and the finest display of hydrangeas I have ever seen. There is a cafe and shop. I loved the gardens and would have liked to have spent... More

Of the four gardens we visited during our Cornwall holiday in September, this was the one I loved the most. This is a landscaped garden, no squares or walls or secluded theme displays. As a visitor, you experience a delightful walk in an amazingly lush and rich piece of nature. We went down the valley on the upper path, overlooking... More

This is my favourite place. Walk down the windy paths, climb over the wall at the bottom, take your shoes off and take a deep breath. Feel any stress fall away and relax. The whole place is amazing, the gardens, the staff, everything.

No matter what time of year the gardens are a great place to visit. Dogs are permitted on leads and ours enjoys the visits especially a paddle on the small beach. The views are stunning both of the gardens and the river. The cafe offers a good value, very tasty selection of food.

A lovely walk down through the gardens to the sea with a beach cafe when you get there. Also a good cafe at the start (or finish) with an interesting shop plus a lovely garden nursery with great plants. A day out for all the family though not for those who cannot or do not like walking up hills.

We took our 4 year old grandson to Trebah and he loved everything about it, especially the giant carp. We were able to go back for free within 7 days which made the quite pricey entry fee better value.

Always wanted to visit as I'm a Hardy Tropical fan & the Gunnera Alley was amazing as was the Tree Ferns. The view back from the bridge over the pool to the house was idyllic. What I wasn't expecting was how welcoming to dogs they were which plus the beach area made this a great day out. Highly recommended

Stunning location, very well cared for and maintained - all sorts of surprises for youngsters and older people which change in each season. It is steep & there are steps but you can find buggy routes. Yoy can walk all the way down to the sea and beach and it opens out intio a wonderful view of the Helford Estuary... More
