kids enjoy 10 pin and couldn't find one with a great review overall locally, but this seemed the best bet. it wasn't as bad for us as others have experienced. No problems with the alleys, food OK, all in all it was a good morning for not a lot of money. it's not like some of the more modern places but the staff on the food part were really nice.

I have taken groups of teens to ocean bowl, visited with my wife / family & always found it to be pretty good. There's a good range of food available & Justin the manager is very helpful & friendly, go check it out!!! If its a nice day dont forget the Falmouth hotel is opposite, lovely for cream tea on the lawn :)

Kids love it although it is alittle out dated and one member of staff can be quite rude at times. The machine quite often freeze which Is very annoying. Foods ok.

Very dated! We were the only people in. Was firstly given a pair of shoes that the soles were falling off! Trip hazard! The balls had chunks missing from them! We then started our game the machine kept breaking, staff sorted it for it to break again after only one ball was frown. We only had 3 turns each, got our money back and walked out.

Spacious, clean and well lit, Ocean Bowl provided us with everything we needed for a 10-year-old birthday party. The price, at £9.00 per child for bowling and food, was very reasonable. The bowling was fun, the food was well presented, with helium balloons decorating the clean tables. And the table football, pool table and air hockey kept everyone happy afterwards. Thanks are due to all the cheerful and helpful staff at Ocean Bowl!

After reading some of the reviews on here how its "something out of the flintstones" lets get this straight. This isnt a chain owned ten a penny american superbowl cornwall doesnt do chains. This is totally unique. We have served by the manager on the times we have been and he is always lovely. They work bloomin hard there open until 11pm and its good fun. Especially the local teams which are always lively! Its a short walk from the town centre and there is a large car park too. I much rather go to ocean bowl than some soul less chain anyday. Its got proper cornish character!

Made a visit here during the Xmas break and I'm sure it will be our first and last trip here. At our arrival we were greeted by surly and very unhelpful staff. We were a group of seven (5 adults+2 children) and were told that we could't be accommodated on one lane without any reason just a plain NO! After asking nicely a couple of times I bought for 6 and we shared between us. The bowling alley ityself was like being in an episode of the Flintstones! Bowls had chunks missing out of them and the lanes looked more like a skateboarding bowl. Could possibly have put up with the venue if the staff hadn't been so objectionable.

When my son asked me if he could have his 13th birthday party at Ocean bowl I wasn't keen of the prospect- having read some of the other reviews on this site.. However I am so glad I caved! We showed up a bit late only to be greeted with friendly staff and lanes ready and waiting. Twenty minutes in the boys were off playing in the arcade, grandad was playing pool and I had my feet up with a brew--and a cheeky second biccy off the waitress (as I was STARVING) Luckily food was on its way.. As soon as the boys finished bowling we were ushered into the dining room, where balloons had been set up and food served. From what I had read I wasn't expecting much from the food but to tell you the truth, personally, I thought it was made to a really high standard! I had the Ocean bowl burger which was a lean burger with bacon, cheese and onion rings on a nicely toasted brioche bun. My parents aren't big eaters, especially not my mum but she licked her bowl clean (having had the quorn salad)- the vegetarian options were surprisingly great, mum hadn't seen quorn salads on any menu before + hasn't stopped going on about it since! The boys had a choice of meals from the birthday package, from pizza to nuggets and that went down well. Afterwards the staff brought out his cake with candles and we all sang. I honestly couldn't have asked for more from Ocean bowl. Not only was it an affordable birthday party, it was fun, full of laughter, with great food and a friendly atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough!
