We were staying in a nearby hotel and this was the closest beach to us. For certain months of the year dogs are allowed Om at any time, but for other times dogs are not permitted between 10 and 6, which I thought was fair. The beach was so clear, I didn’t see a spot of rubbish the whole time we were there. There are lifeguards here and they walked the beach talking to people. There is a restaurant and a takeaway on the beach, as well as a coffee cart behind the beach on the road. There is a car park moments away, which was a little pricey but no more than any other car park in town. You can hire kayaks and paddle boards from this beach too.

We really enjoyed our day on the beach during an unseasonably warm day. It did get too busy later in the day so we left as social distancing was difficult. The sea is a beautiful turquoise at some points and it’s a stunning bay. There’s good amenities, clean loos too.
The sand is quite gritty and very stoney as you go into the sea - we wished we had our swim shoes.
All in all well worth a visit.

Had an absolutely brilliant day here with my family. As a wheelchair user I say with confidence that this is the most accessible beach I've been to in the UK. Parking just up the road, easy access from the street, disabled toilet and a sand chair that can be booked for the day free of charge. There are shops and cafes and beach activities for everyone and all of the staff were extremely helpful. Even the hired kayaks are accessible with fixed seats that can be added. I highly recommend a visit to this place, I will definitely be back.

We came here just before lunch on Wednesday, attempted to park in the nearest car park (Queen Mary Road) but it was packed out, no big deal though as just up the hill a bit there is plenty of street parking.
I thought that the beach was supposed to be sandy but when we were there the tide was quite high and the top of the beach was a stony/gravel mix which was harsh on the feet. As expected, the beach was very busy but we were able to get enough space to put up our small tent. Bought lunch at the Gylly beach cafe, after queuing up for about 40 mins and spending £15 on two standard hot dogs (completely overpriced but expected at the location)
The water itself was clean and minimal waves, so good for the younger kids. There were also a few rockpools there which we explored until the tide came in. There are toilets there, but like the cafe the queues were huge. Overall it was okay but maybe we had been spoiled by spending the previous week over at Hayle, near St Ives, where the beaches are simply spectacular and not nearly half as busy. Would not bother to come to this one again.

Is Gyllingvase beach the worst in Cornwall? We think so. Maybe we went on a bad day? Certainly within distance of people that think it’s ok to swear and smoke their “stuff” in front of young children. You move, similar group of people in the next spot too. To top it off, the mix of hard shingle and sand … errrgh. Defo one to avoid in our opinion.

We stopped here to stretch our legs and had a lovely walk along the coastal path. We walked down on the beach but found it quite stoney and nicer sand further up the bank. Worth wearing beach shoes. Very busy when we got there again struggled with social distancing due to so many people on the beach.

Love Gyllingvase beach yes it does get crowded at times but there's also room in the park behind the benches to sit or lie and get away from everyone if you so wish. Bouncy castle for kids on the beach and wonderful cafe on the beach and takeaway with picnic benches. Lots of bins and very little rubbish around which is also lovely everyone looks after this little haven. Showers on the beach and lovely clean toilets and dog bowls for dogs to have a well earned drink. Dogs banned on beach in July and August. Lovely walks around the coast too from here.

Perfect for watching the sunrise over Pendennis Castle whilst taking an early morning swim. Lively beach with plenty of swimmers and paddle boarders. Fantastic cafe and bakery on site too. Good toilet facilities and outdoor showers (cold) are available too.

Not that surprising. Falmouth is a popular touristy place. Nearby parking albeit slightly pricey and clean free toilet facilities. Pleasant looking beach and nice sands. Excellent view out to sea. Slightly marred view both sides of the beach. Easy walk to Swanpool beach where dogs are allowed to roam on the sands and frolic in the sea
