Excellent museum telling the story of a proud county regiment through the ages. Particularly magnificent medal collection including several VC’s and of particular note the Scinde campaign section under that remarkable General Sir Charles James Napier and the WW1 and WW2 period inc a pen used during the surrender of the Japanese forces. Well worth a visit and to put several hours aside.

A highly enjoyable visit to Cheshire Military Museum by a group from Chester Business Club on 8/11/23. Friendly informative staff. Very interesting artefacts on display. I particularly enjoyed walking through time: a well organised collection that lead me from the creation of the Cheshire Military regiment, through the wars, through The Troubles, to present day. There’s lots to see here - give yourself plenty of time to browse through these poignant moments in history brought to life in this display. A very special museum in Chester - highly recommended for all ages. I’ll definitely be going again soon with my family.

What a delightful museum. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, ensuring a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The displays are fantastic, with so much great information and artefacts. Also lots of things to keep children interested. Exceptional value for money.

A great museum, with a warm welcome from the staff. What a great history collection. I loved the medals and the death pennies. From the early days of the Cheshire Regiment, right up to the present day. Wander outside as there is more to see. Toilet facilities and a small gift shop. We paid £3 entrance fee, it was well worth it.
