I’ve popped into here a couple of times this week for our dinner. The plaice was super fresh and carefully filleted - made a lovely supper with meurniere sauce. We also had a kg of huge king prawns for the bbq and they were also great. The stalls here a great selection of seafood, including some exotica like fresh swordfish. Definitely cuts above what you’d get from a supermarket and it is worth supporting these local independent sellers.

Came upon this market by chance and had a wander round .Great variety of fish and nice to see fish fresh from the sea. Unlike the supermarket fish back home. There are not many fishmongers left in the High Street nowadays as the supermarkets have wiped them out .The market has small cafes and restaurants as well

The market in Jersey is in two parts the smaller part is the fish market where a good range of fresh fish, and shell fish are for sale, there are also a couple of eateries there presumably using the local produce, just across the road is the central market in a beautiful glass domed building, worth visiting just to look at the structure.
