We visited Ely for the day from Cambridge and went into the Cathedral. This place is well worth a visit. It is well laid out and there is plenty to see.

If you like cathedrals, you'll love Ely. The outside is picturesque and the lantern is beautiful.

We went to Evensong and it was magical. Then,later.we took a tour and Malcolm,our guide,was very knowledgeable and friendly. A real treat!!

Not too far, about ten or fifteen minutes, along the river, then through the gardens and park, and along The Gallery to the West door.
