The entrance to the Cathedral could be better marked. The doors are enormous and imposing. There is a small access door set into it but this is not apparent when it's closed. The interior is very spectacular with high vaulted ceilings with very spectacular paintings....More

Never managed to get to Ely Cathedral until May 2018. It was on a Sunday and just after the service. A marvellous experience - enjoying the splendid architecture with light streaming in from various angles.

Stunning inside and out. Free parking in the town centre so very easy to access. The shop inside is also great with lots of gift ideas.

I had gone to the Cathedral in Ely to revisit a sacred space that I have always liked, especially the roof and the octagon. This time there was the added bonus of an exhibition of marble sculptures by Helaine Blumenfeld, whose work I did not...More

Not too far, about ten or fifteen minutes, along the river, then through the gardens and park, and along The Gallery to the West door.
