A stunning Cathedral, with a variety of architecture from the Norman nave to the Gothic and Victorian choir. £9 entrance fee is well worth it, and be sure to join one of the free 1 hour tours as it gives you a real insight into...More

Our first visit to the Cathedral and we were mightily impressed with everything it offers. Externally it is a stunning building and inside there is much to see and admire. The windows are exceptional, the features of the knave and elsewhere just so special. The...More

Ely cathedral was breathtakingly beautiful. An added bonus was that I was able to take my dog in with me.

Was a little worried about paying to enter, what I view as a public place, but as this was one of the main reasons for visiting Ely, to visit the cathedral, I paid! I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! Part of the fee paid...More

Had the tour including the octogan tower. The cathedral is really lovely. The tour of the tower was excellent and the guide extremely knowledgeable. Be careful of the narrow staircase

Not too far, about ten or fifteen minutes, along the river, then through the gardens and park, and along The Gallery to the West door.
