Punting along River Cam is highly recommended. The tour guide was very informative. Views were fabulous. Blankets were provided for the cold weather.

Hiring a punt and drifting along this river is a delight. I've been in both a self-driven punt and one with a professional steering us, and both were good experiences. However, I would recommend going with the professional, particularly on a busy day, as it can be a bit tricky to navigate between the other boats. Also, they know a... More

It's the best way to see the city- hire a punt or take a tour. You'll get the best views and see the most of the historic colleges.

The oldest Colleges face onto the River Cam as this formed their main transport route 600 years ago, when some were still monasteries. You can take photos of the oldest buildings and most famous buildings such as King College Chapel, St John's library and Trinity Wren Library, all fine examples of different architectural styles. The riverside trees and views of... More

Super walk on a Sunday and watch all the College rowers out in strength practicing their strokes! Great architecture along the river, see all the boathouses, and old mixed with new contemporary apartments, very attractive area for a Sunday stroll.

Very nice place to take photos, provided it's not the height of summer and you're getting elbowed off the bridge!

We joined a guided punt at Scudamores at Mill Lane, which was fairly busy on lovely autumn day and though we had to wait for nearly an hour for next tour just after lunch. But this was on impulse and imagine wait could be longer in full summer? Quite expensive really at £19 per adult for 45 min 'tour' on... More

On a sunny warm afternoon we punted down the river Cam. As we passed by the colleges, the man steering our punt gave brief but clear information about everything. Would highly recommend this a must to do in Cambridge.

Nothing beats a walk along the cam when the weather is nice. Lovely to watch the nature going past and the punters on the river.
