Doing a walk along the river Cam is a bit complicated in the center area because you must zig zag because of the colleges. But it is worthwhile and enjoy the always active rowing clubs and park areas as you go on eastwards.

The 6 th floor rstaurant on the Varsity spa hotel has a great view of the river. Hope you have a great time.
