Lovely gentleman on the gate. The gardens were stunning, the weather was perfect. Standing on the bridge over the river provided beautiful views.

We loved wandering through these gardens during our visit, even 12yo nephew was captivated by their beauty. In August the flowers in bloom created such a colourful picture and despite Cambridge being very busy there was a real air of tranquility.

We walked through the gardens on our way over to see King's College and they are just gorgeous. It incorporates both expansive lawn areas with borders as wells as more intimate settings. I couldn't get over some of the vivid colors I saw in the delphiniums and clematis. The layout and condition of every bed was just so impressive. The... More

I visited this place on a very hot summers day and it was bliss. It isn't often open to the public so if you get the chance to visit then do pop in.

The most amazing garden open free to the public. Sea of tranquillity. Absolutely beautiful. Hidden gem.

As a Clare graduate I am clearly biased.... but the gardens are consistently rated the best (sole or joint) in Cambridge. The expanse of lawn leading to the river bank, flanked by borders full of colour, is a particular delight – sit a while there and watch the punts go by. But there are also several small areas to explore,... More

Saw the garden from the punts, only £3.50 well worth the money, apparently 70% of students are female and graduates are entitled to have their wedding receptions in the grounds.
