We chose Trinity College Punts after reading good reviews and phoning them. We weren't disappointed. Easy to find through the black gates off Garret Hostel Lane. Lovely, friendly, helpful man at the hiring point. A quick tutorial and the 6 of us were off for a wonderful 2 hours on the River Cam. Cost £18ph (26.8.16) Situated approximately at the... More

I went there alone hoping to be able to get into a group tour. Was told that the max wait would be 10-15 minutes so naturally, I waited. It started to fill up and many groups left before I was able to. Then they tried to put me on a boat with 6 people already on it but the best... More

We were taken by Caz for a wonderful 45 minutes punt along the 'backs' yesterday - 17th Aug . I have been on a few of these trips over the years but this was by far the best. My wife and I did a trip along the River in Chicago with commentary last year but this was so much more... More

Went here with some friends and thought the smaller set up would be better than the larger companies. Was met by a guy who said we we needed to wait for some more customers. He then punted off with his punt full leaving us sitting on the bank. Two other staff were around but made no effort to talk to... More

We got a self-hire punt with them for 18 pounds per hour. It's worth every penny. I have "punted" just once before, so it took a while to get used to it. However, even though I'm not fit, it was OK (but tiring). The river was full, as it was a sunny summer Sunday. Lots of inexperienced punters like myself,... More

Took the Trinity punt with a guide. £15 each and a must do when in Cambridge. Would have been better if a family ticket was available but hey ho. The boat could take two on each seat and we fitted in 8 adults in total and although we were very low in the water we did not fall in. Decent... More

Went on advice from a friend who works in Cambridge. The Trinity Punts can be hired at 18GBP per hour to self punt which is much cheaper that the guided punts. Get there early though- as a novice you dont want to be trying to navigate around the many other punts. We arrived at 9,30 and were the first on... More

Rather too hot today but lovely and cool on the river. The punter pointed out the sights. Fantastic scenery. A bit too crowed on the river due to the heat, but certainly well worth the money.

My mom was visiting us in Cambridge and she wanted to take a punting tour. We did not want to do one of the big tour companies that kept hounding the tourists on the main drags, so I went to this hidden gem and was not disappointed. Our tour guide was a former Cambridge professor, and it was a beautiful... More

We were lucky enough to have a friend in Trinity College, so he'd booked us a punt from there. Luckily my partner is an experienced punter, so we were able to experience a relaxing trip up and down the Cam. Lovely to see some of the colleges from a different perspective, and some of the countryside. But if you're less... More
