A nice bit of green space. We arrived in Cambridge on a very hot July evening, and everyone was enjoying the warm weather, having a drink or kicking a football about. There was also a Ferris wheel but it didn't seem to go round while we where there. Our hotel room at the Cambridge University Arms Hotel was overlooking it too.

The title briefly summarizes the park. Huge grasslands and well-care with paths that people use to go from one point to another. In summer should be good for outdoor games or picnics. Autumn saw some people playing soccer and had the fair of new students (not our case).

Cambridge should be proud of this large open space right in the centre. There was a ferris wheel there when i was there. I doubt if it's always there but I don'know.for sure.

plenty of pathways to find your way across and enough space for anybody to have some alone time if needed.

if i was to suggest any improvements, it would be to add more seating but maybe the locals like it unspoilt.

In the summer Parker's Piece is a great place to sit down in central Cambridge and watch the world go by. In the winter it's a great place to walk to and get some fresher air compared to that which you get in the streets of Cambridge!

Throughout the year Parker's Piece plays hosts to many events, there's the Big Weekend in early July where there is live music, a continental market and amusements. In the winter there's often an ice skating rink.

If you're in Cambridge, no matter what time of year Parker's Piece is a perfect place for a walk.

We walked through here behind the shops/restaurants on Regent St. Very pleasant piece of greenery, but there were groups of boys drinking, making a lot of noise & throwing their cans etc all around the benches when there were litter bins withing 50m & this was at about 17.30

There is nothing exciting here. Just a large green area where you can play ball games or sunbathe. A totally flat piece of grass just away from the shopping area where you can eat your meal deal.

A well cared for open space that helps to overcome Cambridge's chronic congestion. A place to fill your lungs with fresh air and relax.
