With all the money we pay in council tax etc, you would have thought the local council can afford a couple of benches or picnic areas etc, such a beautiful 5 star view, 3 star management

We a straightforward walk from Wendover through the woods to the top. The views are amazing and we could have stayed for hours soaking it up. The monument to the Boer War is pretty spectacular too. Take some binoculars to get the most of it....More

From the east coast to this point you won't find a better or higher view - probably about 220 degrees. Interesting memorial at the top.

Parking is available at the top of the hill so no climbing is necessary. Parking at the bottom is not an option as that is close to Checkers and there is no space available.
