Thank you GB shooting for a fantastic day on Sunday. To see you have my 2 grandchildren shooting clays on my 60th birthday was very special.
For any one looking for a shooting experience you will go a long way to find better.
Great for novices and as you would expect with his wealth of knowledge it is perfect for experienced shots too, looking to up their game.
Thank you Carol for an amazing lunch.
Guy is fun laid back and fills you with confidence. This is a perfect experience for individuals or larger parties.
So if you want something different try BOND, GUY BOND

I am a keen shot and bought my wife a shooting masterclass lesson as an introduction to the sport. Guy Bond (owner) gave her an excellent hour and a half with several left and rights achieved.
During tea and cake after the lesson it emerged that Guy is an ex Olympic shot which went soem way to explaining his remarkable coaching abilities.

Taking a break from the normal celebrations of a birthday track day some friends and I looked into clay pigeon shooting within the area and after reading some reviews, thanks to Trip Advisor, I decided to give GB Shooting a call.
Over a 5 minute telephone conversation with Guy Bond he had managed to read my mind and prepare for what turned out to be one amazing day! With a mix of expertise within our little group everyone came away not only learning more about the sport but bursting with self confidence due to Guy's infectious personality. Even my Girlfriend who had never used a firearm before managed to achieve 'Top Gun' due to Guy's tuition.
If we thought the day could not get better we were brought up to the main house where we were confronted by a three course dinner fit for royalty! Consideration had even been given to dietary requirements!
Set in the sloping hills and picturesque town of Whitchurch the team at GB Shooting really made a great day for us all to enjoy, so much so that I have even taken up the sport and since been to three more clay shoots with a friend!
Many thanks Guy and Family, look forward to returning in the near future for some more tuition!!

The kids love their shooting with Guy - Samantha's first session today - Guy put her at ease and made it fun - Jack has been attending in the school holidays for the last 3 years and is now a good shot under Guy's tutelage - great value for money - highly recommended

From the moment I spoke to Guy, I sensed this event was going to go well.
Having listened to my suggestions, Guy tailored the day to fit in with my birthday celebrations.
He is communicative, professional and a genuinely lovely person. He and his wife Carol gave us (17) such a warm welcome. Before the shoot, we had some pastries, tea and coffee.
Guy gave us a stern and in depth briefing so we really got the gist of how dangerous this activity is!
Just down the hill, we were divided into groups with Guy, John and Roger who were absolutely on point with their tuition.
Most of us did actually hit some clays, which is a great feeling!
Before we shot off (!) home, we were met with some delicious homemade soup (thank you Carol), local sausages and refreshments.
A great way to spend the day.
John is an excellent host and we would highly recommend his shooting school if you have any interest into trying something new. You may even get hooked.

When my partner and I were looking at getting into clay pigeon shooting, guy was recommended to us and we are really pleased to have booked our lessons with him.
We are now heading toward our fourth lesson and guy continues to help us grow more confident in handling the weapon safely whilst improving our skills in hitting clays.
Guy is an extremely knowledgeable, easy going and friendly instructor with a vast amount of experience to share.
We would highly recommend him to anyone!

Guy and Carol made us feel welcome from the moment we rang to book the session. Guy is an excellent teacher and with much patience got us both hitting double clays by the end of the morning. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Can children attend as I woild like my 7yr old to try.
Written June 17, 2015
Hi Kim, thank you for your question on a 7 year old shooting. Normally we state from 10 years and then a shorter session using the specially adapted lighter .410 shotgun is used. We have to be very cautious with very young children as their attention span can be much shorter. We have a very different approach making the session fun and only giving a few shots. Even with air weapons we have the same policy as the law states that individuals have to be over 18 years old to possess one. In the previous cases here we have had younger children shoot but being part of a family where the youngest child came along and just had a few shots. The hand to eye co-ordination can also be challenging and eye dominance has generally not been defined at this age. I would suggest if you wish to book a session for your 7 year old then just a mini try for about 30 minutes. Remember that they will still be holding a lethal weapon that can kill or cause serious harm, so we have to install this from the very beginning. We have a very informal approach here at GB Shooting but safety is always taken very seriously. I think you will be told a very similar answer at every shooting school but some have an over 10 yrs. policy.
