Another great Bristol pub. They keep
Coming and coming. Situated half way up Park Lane this is one to help with the climb and a great way to watch the world go by.

Place was very quiet when I visited which was a Saturday night. I didn’t mind though as service was quick. Good selection of cocktails aswell.

Was showing the rugby on Saturday. Somewhat devoid of atmosphere to start as the downstairs area had been turned into a crèche (including the locking of the loo to avoid swinging doors hit little heads). Bar food a little bit iffy. Served in brown boxes.

There is something about the Ram that over the years, it kept bringing me and my friends back. It's always the meeting place that we are only meant to stay for 1 and then end up staying the whole evening.
I heard there were new owners which I thought it could only be a hit or miss. They gave the bar a lick of paint and freshened up the furniture. It's looks much better and way cleaner! I always thought the food was a bit shabby with the old owners, but this has changed a lot too. It's not just a place to have boozy fun anymore, the food is actually fantastic! The New Bristol Ram - Hit 👍🏻

...in an area that keeps on changing, it’s great to see somewhere that, I would say, could reasonably be called any institution’ still thriving. Looks a lot different than it used to but still has cool decor and atmosphere.

My wife was at work and so she left me with our two young children, I wanted to find a place for lunch, and the manager made us feel so welcome and his service was extremely attentive. It was lunchtime we ordered a vegan bolognaise and a greek salad for me , he split the adult portion in two for the two kids, and provided several things to keep the kids distracted. The Greek salad was excellent, huge , and also the pasta and vegan sauce.. the venue itself was very nice , decor and comfort. 5 stars easily !

We ordered a range of food and none of it was good - everything over cooked, badly flavoured and dry. Incredibly disappointing - avoid:
Beef short rib
Chicken wings with peri peri (also, only 3 wings in a portion)
Camembert bites
Onion rings
Buttermilk chicken burger
Chips

Waitress on the day we attended was rude, disinterested and unwelcoming. Made everybody feel stupid when ordering (eg ‘what sauce do you want with those onion rings?’ ‘Ketchup would be good’ ‘Err no. I mean bearnaise, blue or peppercorn’ - who has ever put these sauces on onion rings?!?!), when someone asked for a plate to put bones from the wings on she said no, then reluctantly got one. Didn’t say a word when the bill was paid, no hello/goodbye/please/thanks - no basic curtesy, really a bizarre experience, I definitely won’t be returning.

If I go out in Bristol, I will certainly go here. Great service, great beers and amazing music. What more could you want?

I saw the Trip Advisor logo on a board in the Ram asking for reviews, so i thought i would oblige!
After visiting family in nearby Weston, i took my grandmother to a show at the Hippodrome just down the road, and thought we would follow the advice of the rams sign outside of resting our legs before the trek up the hill!
As soon as we arrived we were enthusiastically welcomed by the barman, who asked us what we would like. As i am a vegan i asked what drinks were vegan friendly, usually i get the response of "don't know", not here, the barman told me what products were suitable for vegans, then said he would google the product to ensure it was.
Then offered to bring the drinks over to our table when he was sure.
My Grandmother then requested the music to be turned down, (once again usually met with a no) the Barman explained that the other customers were enjoying the music however if wanted to sit in the conservatory he could turn it off in there. which he did.
My Grandmother and I both knew we were being difficult but nothing seemed too much trouble to the barman. Even now as i type the barman is ensuring everything is alright!
I just wish every pub had this level of service. Will definitely be using again!
The only downside is the lack of food.

Really great relaxed atmosphere. The staff were attentive and chatty and the owner seemed like a really nice guy who apologised for the noisy rabble that came in. Music was really chilled out and made for a lovely starter to a night out. Felt looked after and safe.
The place itself is lovingly decorated and really nice and clean (nothing worse than sticky floors and tables)
Great selection of drinks, with 2 for 1 cocktails (not your usual watered down cheap mixer variety either that you’d find in some of the chain places) All of which were fab (particularly the espresso martini and the old fashioned.) Massive choice of gin too! Prices weren’t horrendous for city centre. Two cocktails coming in at just over £20 (and then getting two free on top of that)
All in all a really great bar/pub!
