    Brilliant family fun
We booked rifle shooting and Axe throwing. Simon and Archie were fantastic, they gave great instructions, were patient with our son and encouraged us to have fun safety. Great day out and can't wait to book the next activity.

Steve H, Steve W and Darren put on a masterclass in clay pigeon execution!
We had a big party come for some clay pigeon shooting and my word, Steve H, Steve W and Darren were certainly top class instructors. We managed to squeeze in a decent amount of huts and have a great time. Big shout out to Steve W for taking care of our group of 6. The clay pigeons stood no chance once equipped with his advice!

After attending Bristol Activity Centre I realised that I was the chosen one.
Had a really fun time axe throwing for a stag do. Our instructors humza and Simon were very informative and funny and it was amazing to experience a wide array of weaponry. I also learned that I am a natural at throwing weapons.

    Air Rifle Review
Had a great morning having a go at air rifle shooting. Steve and Riyah were first-class hosts, very friendly and always on-hand. It was the first time we’d ever been to BAC and what an excellent first impression the guys made. We’ll definitely be back.

    Best place for Paint-balling!
My group and I booked for a Full day of paint balling (Both morning and afternoon sessions) and everything was perfect. To start with, the game areas were amazing and well maintained. The Maps contained both a mix of amazing greenery and urban aspects which worked well with each other. Next, the staff were amazing and the Marshalls we had were even better. They were friendly, professional and helpful. Lastly, the equipment was cheap to rent and well maintained not to mention how affordable the paintballs were. Highly recommend!!

    Excellent Customer Service
So went to Bristol activity centre today for my Sons’s 13th Birthday Party.. 🥳 to go Paint Balling 🔫 after a bit of confusion at the start due to the fact I booked for Sunday 30th June 1-4pm and they accidentally got muddled up and booked us in for Saturday 29th June 😬 which clearly we missed.. as that was not the date we asked for 🫣 They sorted the whole situation out and made my sons day very special for him couldn’t fault.. Andre, Oliver G, Kiera M and Ben for there top quality customer service and the way they made everything happen so that my sons party could still go ahead. We enjoyed every minute of it and my son and his friends had the best day Thank-you so much !!

Not just for stag and hens! Mums and kids too!!
A group of mixed ages school friends and two mums descended in the rain for a rainy day activity! We all agreed it was the best 2 hours of fun we’ve had in a long time! Riya and Ben were amazing. Made it fun and felt so safe esp when we were in charge of other parents kids! The low impact bullets were fine and actually didn’t hurt! We had the full two hours and we managed a session on each of the courses which was great to mix it up for the kids! The youngest was a little anxious and spent a few games with Riya in a high vis and had the best time controlling the games with her! The little breaks in between seemed unnecessary when we had the briefing, but trust me they are a welcome break each time! I don’t think the weather matters for this and in fact the fact it was cooler was better!! Def not just an activity for stags / hens / parties! Will def do it again in the holidays!

    Excellent Quad Biking Experience
I visited Bristol Activity Centre on 01/08/2024 by myself for quad biking. I arrived early, but was warmly welcomed by Steve, and I was then taken inside. Everyone was respectful and engaging. I felt like I was treated well. I was informed of where the toilets were, and the small cafe they had on site. There was plenty of seating while I waited for my session to start. The quad biking experience started with a very short walk to a safety induction room, where a five minute video played. From here, Steve helped me get the correct helmet, then we went to the quad bikes. Steve clearly explained how to start it, and he also reminded me of the key points from the video for all of our safety. The actual riding of the quad bike was really fun. They have a small course to get used to the bike, then as long as you don’t do anything stupid, you’ll be moved to the proper track. The proper track had a very good amount of hills, bends, loose and tights. You follow your instructor, but from my experience, they’ll go at a pace they feel you are comfortable with. The only thing I would note, is there is a one way system. Ubers will need to stay left and go around or drop you off in the big open area after you go through the gates. The signs for the one way system did not exist from my observation. Overall, I had a very good experience, and I would definitely recommend Bristol Activity Centre to friends, family, and random human beings with human feeling on the internet.

I rarely write a negative review but we paid a lot for a low impact party for 11 boys aged between 9-10 years old, I wished we had checked the venue before this costly mistake and embarrassment…
Do check the venue in person before booking, the website is great but the experience is the opposite. Very disappointed children.
The venue was clearly overbooked, not all children of similar age, 30minutes delays because there were too many of them booked for the same time slot, all under a ‘shelter’. Never mind COVID, and only 2 very dirty toilets 🤢
Because of the crowd, minimal safety check and guidance, lose and dirty helmets were given and we had to help the children, because there were too many for the staff.
All children should have been given gloves for safety. They were NOT unless you paid …
I DO NOT recommend AT all, low standards of hygiene and minimal regard to the safety of the children, under staffed, clearly run by a greed person out to make as much money as possible.
The website states helicopter, tanks and underground bunker = mini rusted children’s tanks, a junk that resembles a helicopter, rusty junk, glad the children had winter clothes underneath the old thinning overalls…
Disgusting, I wished we had not paid £360.00 for such a dump, it is not suitable for 8-10 years old, due to lacking proper protection and staff monitoring,. Many children still got hurt even though they had their hands up (no shooting allowed)…
The staff is the only good thing about this place. They did the best they could, but there wasn’t enough of them to ensure the safety rules were followed by all.
Do check the venue before wasting your money.
I had to pay for 2 more pizzas, as they offered 2 for 11 kids??
The pizzas were properly cheap and disgusting , hard to know where they can find something so utterly awful. Only TWO 2L water bottles, these were NOT given until the very end, probably to wash down the awfulness of their food.

Firstly thank you for taking the time to write us a review, we value all feedback and always take the time to look into points made. Along with the other activities which we have running around the venue, we regularly have groups of paintballers of all ages, generally split down into smaller groups, adult, Teens & Juniors (8-11 year olds) So not all participants necessarily are part of the same "group" playing together. We are a certified "COVID safe" venue and complete a rigorous cleaning regime, as you are aware from your visit our venue is all undercover and walled half way up, however there are no windows - instead we have netting, therefore it is not a "sealed" building allowing for great ventilation - which has been perfect for keeping our guests "covid safe" We are sorry to hear that you found the toilets unsatisfactory, we will be looking into the cleaning records and why this might be. We are aware that due to spectators not being allowed onto the paintball playing fields you may not have seen the de-commisioned helicopters, 2 tanks, lorry and other military vehicles we have on site? but we can assure you - that as you can see on the photos taken of our venue on our website, they are at the venue! - Yes some are unfortunately a little rusty, but this is to be expected from a vintage military vehicle. We always advise participants to dress appropriately for the weather, as the coveralls are only to prevent paint splatter on participants clothing. We also advise participants to bring along gloves if they wish - we do rent gloves as an optional extra, but it is not a safety requirement. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy the pizza, this is something we have not had any negative feedback about before - we will be sure to pass on your feedback to "Pizza and Baguette" whom supply handmade pizzas worldwide, we simply cook the pizzas in our pizza ovens. There are several "party package" options and each includes different amounts of Pizza, we have found that generally a quarter of a large pizza is an adequate portion size for an 8-11 year old, this is something we have offered for many years, and we have found it to be adequate. We are pleased to hear you found the staff good, we are very proud of our team! looking at our records we had sufficient staff to child ratio as per our risk assessments for what we had booked in on the day. Many of our staff are running the paintball fields and maintaining paintball guns, so are not always seen by the cafe / reception area.

I rarely leave reviews but felt compelled after my experience as it sort of left a bit of a sour taste after my birthday celebrations.

For context, the day was lovely, we were well looked after on the day. No complaints there. Chole was fantastic at looking after us and making sure we got the most out of our day!

Though aspects of the booking process and the following was where the frustrations came from. In the week running up to the event, the UK (south west) was getting storm reports alongside the met office issuing orange/red warnings. I was pretty stressed about it not gonna lie and we also had a member in our party test positive for covid. I phoned up to talk about the situation on site, which was met with it would be alright to play due to some of the cover provided by nature.

I brought up two issues,
1 person couldn't make it due to the storms cancelling all trains and it wasn't practical for them to come down. This couldn't be changed or anything, I accepted that.
1 person couldn't make it due to testing positive and their isolation was required which meant they had to miss out. I found out that sending through the Test and Trace information would result in it being refunded, I really appreciated it, especially considering how stressful the weather and cancellations had been.

Cue the day etc.
I had sent through the test and trace evidence before this and then chased up when I didn't receive a reply. I was met with being told by Maughan through email that only a credit voucher would of been provided, something I wasn't told on the call. I replied stating what I was told, then I received a follow up at the end of the week just being told a voucher would only been issued and was cited terms and conditions and to provide who I spoke to when I called up. Sadly I didn't catch a name, I normally do when on phonecalls for this matter but with the storm stress, it didn't happen.

I left the matter stating I would sacrifice that cost and cover it out of my own pocket (the person who caught covid has other income issues to be concerned about) as I felt like I was being treated a bit poorly and would rather not have to argue the semantics of language and without a name to reference I resigned. I understand that the terms and conditions are there, but I feel like I wanted to write this out for others.

If you must interact, do get information and promises in writing and don't rely on calls unless you have a name to back this up.

Hi Ollie, We are pleased to hear that you had a great day - we are sorry to hear that drop outs in your group meant additional stress. We appreciate it can be difficult organising groups of people, and it has been especially difficult with Covid and isolation periods etc over recent years. We have all of our terms and conditions on our website and linked on the booking confirmation email, but for clarity, any cancellations accepted with 28 or less days notice prior to the event will be issued with a credit note that is valid for 12 months. All cancellations should be made in writing via email. Our bookings team are all very familiar with our cancellation policy, therefor it appears that there may have been a mis-interpretation regarding the Covid cancellation, a credit note would have been issued in this case as it was less than 28 days notice (most people use the credit notes on the day for additional paintballs / food or drinks) Despite the frustrations with the 2 group members that were unable to make it, we are glad to hear you were well looked after on the day and enjoyed your events!

For my son's 10th birthday we took a small group to low impact paintball. We had the 250 bullet per person package, with pizza, and brought our own cake.

Kids had a great time, my son said it was brilliant and felt very real.

Scope to spend xtra money on more refreshments and ammo (smoke grenades etc), but what we had was plenty. Compared to laser quest the facilities are more basic, less organised, and the staff left us to it more... I felt like I was asking them for help/guidance quite a bit, where it wasn't quite clear what we were supposed to be doing. That might be considered an advantage though! The kids were absolutely blown away (not literally). The staff were very thoughtful and had the children transfixed, with different styles of games to keep them excited (special mention to Chloe, for doing a great job, and the guy in the kitchen for being such a good chef, flexible with our slightly random requests, and bringing the cake out with candles lit at exactly the right moment).

Pizzas were freshly made and much better than expected.

Also nice that it was very well ventilated in the shelter area, plenty parking.

We will definitely be going back, it's the sort of activity we'd get more out of having seen the ropes.

With help from Lin, I was able booked some activities for my partners birthday and what a day it was. Archery, knife and axe throwing and ending the day with some quad biking. Simon (archery) was just an amazing instructor, very help, kind person and a funny guy. Matt (Axe knife throwing) again great instructor and gave us some good tips to improve our throwing.
Simon and Aidan (quad biking) I was most nervous about this so it took me a bit longer to get use to it but they didn’t rush me and allowed me to go at my own pace with lots of help and by the end I was flying round the track. I was very impressed how organised they were (especially for a bank holiday weekend). They have on site parking and a cafe with some nice food so you can really make it a full day without even leaving the site. If anyone is looking to do something different, fun and being outdoors they have you covered. Big thank you to the full team from Thomas and Colesia.

Booked a day at Bristol Activity Centre with the partner. Quad bike trek was absolutely awesome, Simon our instructor was a real pleasure to be assisted by, he kept us safe and sound, and the quad trek fun and exhilarating. We really enjoyed the archery and clay pigeon shooting, Archie our instructor was a absolute pleasure, again kept us safe and sound with maximum fun and excitement! We will definitely be returning and would definitely recommend!

Thanks Bristol Activity Centre for such a fun filled day! 😁

First time Clay Shooting with my boyfriend today and we had such an amazing experience! Steve did such a great job during the briefing process and explaining safety bits prior to the activity. He then explained how it works, how to hold the shotgun, and what to do in the different huts, all very clear instructions and then let us have a go! We had great fun trying out the different levels, ensuring we get the best out of each one, now I’m super determined to come back and beat my own score at Running Rabbits! It was a fantastic day, wish we did more activities, I highly recommend them even if you are a beginner like myself! If you haven’t done anything like it, it’s super fun, challenging and very engaging. We’re aiming to come back with friends and do more activities for next time!

Only thing I would say is might need a signposting just before Hollywood Lane as we turned towards the estate! We eventually got there but could do with a little more signposts.

Over all though, very happy with today’s activities! Thanks again to Steve for a great experience! We will be back for more...

I took my son for a 1 hour of Axe and Knife throwing on Friday. We were welcomed and went through the induction. Dave was our instructor and gave a thorough and enjoyable session on the art of throwing knives, angels and tomahawks. We had a great hour and came away buzzing, thanks to Dave for your tuition.

My partner took me here to do clay pigeon shooting as well as knife and axe throwing. I have never done either of these things and both instructors were really friendly and informative as well as patient and encouraging.

Steve instructed our clay pigeon shooting and was honestly a gem, as I have never even handled a gun before, I didnt even expect to shoot any clay, and I did, thanks to his feedback and words of encouragement.

And Dom, our knife and axe throwing instructor, was very laid back and fun, naturally throwing a knife or axe at wood is difficult for anyone but I can also say I managed to get some axes in wood after the feedback I got from him.

All in all, I had a very good 2 hours of immersing myself in something my partner finds fun and all the staff there made sure it was fun.

First time doing archery and a great experience was had with Simon, our instructor, after a last minute booking the day before via telephoning the office. The centre was able to fit us in and the session was just the 2 of us so we had lots of shooting time after the initial information video and demonstration. A nice bit of competition was had with easy to use scoring cards and a gold medal at the end for the winner! Safety was taken really seriously, which was great. Simon was on hand at all times to answer any questions and take photos/videos if we wanted. A lovely 1 hour activity on a bright and sunny day. If we'd have had more time, we would have done quad biking as well and they offer a multi-activity discount when booking.
