This is a pleasant neighborhood three screen cinema in an affluent part of the city which has a very loyal audience and is also enthusiastically supported by the many students in the area... a little gem that still shines!

I am not a fan of big impersonal cinemas with a crush to get in and out, obsessive eaters and chatty mates who think it's a great place to catch up, I'd normally rather wait and watch in my own home, on my own terms, aware I might miss out on the "big screen experience" however I had completely forgotten... What a lovely little cinema. With just 3 screens, a kitted out refreshments counter and extensive bar, the Orpheus cinema provides great films in a classic cinema for half the price with all the nice touches you don't get at the big Vue, Cineworld and Odeon cinemas. Can't wait to go back again. The staff were all very friendly and... More

A small recently refurbished three-screen cinema. Sometimes less is more - small screens, but a rewardingly close-up experience. Helpful staff, range of refreshments - including coffee, popcorn and ice creams. Poshness of the surrounding area reflected in the handmade G&T popcorn and ice cream! Prices are far less than big chains, including £4.50 for Seniors, and £3.75 for the Silver... More

It is quite a small cinema so show less films then the bigger ones but this also means that it is a lot cheaper. It is only £4 for students and £5 for adults and if you go on a Monday, all tickets are £3.75. The seats are comfortable with a good amount of leg room.

The Orpheus at Henleaze is small but shows the latest films, is friendly with staff actually interested in making your evening enjoyable, is licensed so you have more choice, is comfortable following a fairly recent refurbishment but most of all is a welcome break from the big screen complexes which offer the same films for a lot more money!

This charming little cinema was a pleasant find. Its centrally located and easy to find, near a Waitrose and opposite a local pub. The prices are very reasonable and its nice and clean inside. The snack, soft drink, hot drink and alcoholic drink selection is good, and they are one of the rare places that sells Earl Grey Tea! The... More

I hadn't been to the Orpheus for months, maybe even years, when I went this week to see Morgan. I'd always liked going there as it's a cosy cinema with a bit more charm than the larger multiplexes, so I was a bit taken aback to see that they're undertaking some renovation work, but what they've done so far looks... Great atmosphere at this small cinema. Great value tickets and refreshments. Comfy seats. Easy to park on streets nearby. Screens are small compared to those in the multiplex chains, but doesn't affect my viewing experience. Highly recommend.
