It's as many people have observed , green by the Catheral and council city hall but It really does lend itself to a cold drink and sandwich on a hot day. Today, I witness lots of office workers taking in the area and enjoying the sunshine. A great haven in the middle of Bristol city centre.

Originally part of the grounds of a collegiate church, which became Bristol Cathedral after the Dissolution of the Monasteries, College Green is a pleasant open space which provides the best view of Bristol Cathedral, as well as the full vista of the 1930s City Hall (formerly the Council House). The west front of the delightful Lord Mayor's Chapel (St Mark's,... More

This is a small-ish square of grass......... and? but is next to the Cathedral and huge Council building, and just off the expensive trendy Park Street for shopping & bars. Not even sure why this is listed as a tourist attraction? :(

Small park which joins the Cathedral to the Council House , small triangle of land that brings a little green to the heart of the city . There's an area at the tip of the triangle that has become a haven for skateboarders falling over whilst trying to look cool . On a summer day find a spot and lounge... More

You should not miss College Green -enjoy being surrounded by the grand council building arching behind while looking on to Bristol Cathedral and Central Library. Drift down from the atmospheric Park street after your meal/snack/drink and do some people watching. Plenty of action during the year - musicians, demonstrations, festival activities etc.

Really nice open space in the city centre. Some beautiful buildings around it. Worth stopping with a coffee and just sit on the grass. ( There are seats if sitting on the grass is not to your liking)

College Green is a lovely open public space in the heart of the city centre. It is a perfect spot to stop and watch the world pass by. The children love running around and whilst some may find the skaters an annoyance I believe they make the space more interesting.
