There are not many villages that can boast such an array of famous people and businesses as the Frenchay Village Museum. From chocolate to racing cars and explorers to vacuum cleaners, it's amazing. And that's only the people the casual visitor will have heard of. It really does contain a mine of information about past inhabitants who were not quite... More

Excellent museum situated at the entrance to Frenchay Hospital. Well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed. The staff who man it are as knowledgeable as the history contained within. Not sure about the parking as the hospital which has now closed down has manned security barriers.

This tiny museum is located at the very entrance to the former Frenchay Hospital and it has its own parking place. It is lovely to see as it gives history of the local hospital, of four local families but also of the World Wars' times when the US troops were treated in local hospital. There are tons of photos in... More

Visited this museum recently having seen leaflet at the hotel where we were staying.A small museum situated at the entrance to the former Frenchay Hospital. Crammed with exhibits about the village and the local families. If in the area and you have an hour or so to spare well worth the visit.

If you get the time then please stop by and I can guarantee you'll be made very welcome. Hospital has no sadly closed but the museum is there with a wealth... More

This tiny museum is crammed with interesting items of local interest. Situated just inside the grounds of Frenchay Hospital it is manned by volunteers who are friendly & very well informed. One room has temporary exhibitions & the rest is mainly given over to the history of local trades & industries, household names which many local residents will have worked... More

A lovely house in Frenchay Hospital Grounds. Has vast amounts of pictures of the past and great for researching your family if they lived in and around Frenchay. A vital place to be for Frenchay History.
