We attended a choral evensong which was lovely, refreshing and very peaceful; on another day we viewed the Norman Chapter house and had coffee on the refectory. The architecture and history of the cathedral is very interesting and since it is situated right on the College Green it is very central. Well worth a visit even if you aren't into... More

Bristol isn't one of England's great Cathedrals but it is a fascinating mix of styles. The nave and western towers are Victorian while the tower and east end are medieval and 15th/16th century. It's well worth a 2hr wander and the Chapter House is truly magnificent

It might be hard for a tourist to find somewhere to park, as Park Street is a long thin and very steep hill, but if you google map the venue first, you can see some nearby car parks. The Cathedral is opposite a pretty but not huge green, but enough for a picnic. It is also next to the Council... More

This cathedral is an oasis of calm in an attractive area. Much of the beautiful archicture and effigies inside have some connection with the slave trade through the profits made. I is interesting to do a bit of reading about some of the characters

Lovely building. The organ playing adds to the overall feeling of the magnitude to this impressive cathedral. The stain glass windows depicting war veterans/ nurses very poignant. A great place to relax and reflect from the hustle and bustle outdoors

Such a beautiful stunning peaceful place. I am so glad we found the Cathedral (to be fair it's hard to miss!) but it was lovely. I sat quietly in the prayer room and it just felt so right.

My wife has mobility problems but this was not an issue as everything is catered for the disabled. We spent 2 hours there and were fortunate to be present when a recital was being performed. Excellent place to visit

Magnificent building, full of historical items. It was wonderful to be here for the Queen's 60th reigning celebration.2013 a full congregation's singing reverberated around the whole place....wonderful.
