This has become a family tradition to go on the steam train every Christmas. It’s a lovely station in Bitton, perfect for lots of pictures. The train is probably more for the kids but it is really interesting to watch steam train in action.

An excellent pre-booked lunch in a grounded vintage railway carriage! Three menu choices for each of 2 or 3 courses; beer & wine available. Large helpings and helpful staff. No trains running that day but buffet supports the railway's visitors 364 days a year.

We took our young grandchildren on the Santa Special and it was terrific. It snowed; Father Christmas was excellent and the ambience was lovely. We all loved it.

Went for the Santa special, definitely nothing special about this. Don’t bother. Definitely would not recommend this to anyone. After a very boring ride back and forth and more views of the disused carriages than I care to see, we stopped for a photo session...More

The railway is not very long but enjoyable all the same. The locomotives and rolling stock are all restored to a high standard and the staff are very friendly. A great destination for a family visit.
