Took us 20 minutes to walk around the small area lit up which was definitely not worth the £17 ticket price per person. Dangerous walking on makeshift paths as very muddy & slippery, not ideal for elderly or pushchairs/ wheelchairs. Very disappointing

Went to visit the estate and Cafe with my sister and 4 year old gc, too many dogs off their leads, a few jumped up at her, now she’s terrified of dogs. Also many cyclists going way too fast along the paths! Rude girl serving in the cafe! Told me to wait outside (as it’s one customer at a time), which I was doing, but a guy just waltz past me and went in, so I went in to say something , and she told me to wait outside!! Wtaf. RUDE

We often walk at charming Ashton Court and today we popped over to the golf club cafe to buy a coffee and ask for a cup of water. When I asked for water, the assistant initially ignored my request, then when I repeated it, pointed to the tap used by dog owners; I assume she meant to fill up a bottle.

I did not have a bottle on this occasion although I usually do so I politely asked for a cup. The assistant said she isn’t ‘allowed’ to give out cups of water but offered no explanation so I was forced to drink from the dog tap! Most unwelcoming.

I use the mtb trails once a week and often also use the golf hub cafe. Ashton court is absolutely fantastic with very good mtb trails and beautiful scenery, but I’m getting very tired of the miserable and often just plain rude man who seems to run the cafe. He’s without a doubt the most consistently miserable and unhelpful bloke I’ve ever met. You’re lucky if you get 2 words out of him and when you do it’s usually something negative. If he hates being there as much as it seems I think he should look elsewhere for work as he’s the last person on Earth I would employ to front my cafe. Everyone I know who uses the cafe has exactly the same view of him.

Large and pleasant grounds ideal for walking. Enter through the south gate as the car park there is much bigger. Entry to the estate is free and parking is only £1.20 for the whole day. There is a very nice courtyard coffee shop with snacks and public loos. The grounds are extensive and worthwhile for a nice long walk. lots of different trees and extensive grasslands. There is also a deer park, although entry is not permitted, with many deer.

The Cafe at Ashton Court has been a very nice experience today, a sunny Sunday in September 2020... I had an amazing iced coffee which was better than Costa coffee, and my friend had a coffe prepared as per a specific recipe, and nothing was too much trouble and the wish was granted on the spot...the coffee wizards of the Ashton Court Coffee shop are mother Sarah and son Elliott who, if you ask, will share some secrets on brewing a perfect coffee...I want to give them 5 golden stars because they make you feel welcomed and they do so with a genuine friendly smile!

It was our second visit to the café today. Our previous visit was in October 2021 and the food was great. Today unfortunately, it was cash only, and with only £20 on us, we were a bit limited on choices from the menu. We ordered 3 cheese and tomato toasties: 1 gluten free. The issue was the portion size of the gf option. The slices of gf bread were tiny compared to the size of the sourdough slices, and no attempt was made to compensate on the serving size. This meant that my husband had literally half the amount of lunch that we did. I asked if it was possible to have a second round to even up the quantities, but was told that there was nothing they could do as it was down to the size of the slices and both versions were made using 2 slices. It was rather disappointing that they weren't prepared to match the portion size. We felt like people who need gluten free versions are discriminated against.

The Golf Course Cafe. Ordered a bacon sandwich and had to wait 35 minutes for it to arrive, stood outside in the cold. The lady seems only capable of dealing with one order at a time...... very poor considering most people are ordering food and the menu is limited. My advice, find somewhere else.

It has been some years since we last visited the Ashton Court Estate, back in the 80s/90s when annual music festivals used to take place! So it was a bit of a sentimental journey to go back again. We had difficulty in finding an open gate to drive through as a lot of them seemed to be locked. But in the end we managed to get inside the stone walls. Even inside we found some of the roads were blocked with barriers. But anyway we had a lovely walk, taking in all the beautiful surroundings. This estate is very large indeed, like the green lungs of Bristol away from all the pollution. There are three cafes for those who need refreshment. Highly recommended!
