Thank you Nick for an amazing balloon ride.
I booked this for my other half’s birthday and to say that she was nervous would be an understatement but Nick and his crew put her mind at rest and made us (and everyone in the balloon) so comfortable and reassured, that within 5 minutes of taking my other half was at ease and she started to enjoy the ride , the flight it’s self was so smooth and relaxing and peaceful, seeing the sun rise in a hot air balloon is an amazing experience. Nick was so informative of the places that we flew over and answered all questions that everyone asked (we could not have had s better pilot) I would 100% recommend Nick and his crew , we will definitely be using your services again.

First flight ,after several delays due to inclement weather (completely understandable) gave us a ballon trip to remember on 9th July 2022. Nick & team were spot on . Very friendly and obviously knowledgeable leading to a well organised experience which all of our family of 4 enjoyed. Would whole heartedly recommend and someday we hope to will repeat the experience.

Excellent experience - I bought this flight as a gift for my daughter. She was lucky enough to have the most spectacular views over Cheddar Gorge and beyond. The crew were extremely welcoming and made her feel very safe and rounded off with a glass of champagne. She has not stopped talking about her flight and how magical and serene it was floating over houses, farms, wildlife while hearing all the sounds from below. She wants to go again and hopes to view Clifton bridge close to where she lives. First flight offer a far more flexible and personal experience than the major balloon operators so would definitely recommend if you want to fly around the Bristol area. Cannot fault them

Thankyou for the review, we do pride ourselves on the personal experience our pilot and crew provide. A flight over Bristol sounds like a plan, she'll be top of our frequent flyer discount scheme in no time!!

Nick and his team provided warm and friendly service from the get go. The customer service we received from buying a voucher, communication on weather conditions and booking a flight in our preferred area, to the experience we received on the day of the flight and the follow up on sending us the photo was all excellent. We had the best time and we would highly recommend First Flight!

I cannot recommend this experience and company highly enough!
Nick was great to deal with from start to finish. We live in Cornwall, so logistically it was a little trickier to organise but they were very helpful and understanding in accomodating us.
We took an evening flight out of Ashton Court as we used to live in Bristol and had often watched the overhead balloons.
My daughters were quite apprehensive but the friendly, calm manner quickly reassured them and we couldn't believe how safe it felt - don't let nerves put you off!!
Just seeing the balloon inflate was brilliant and the flight itself was awesome!
So much to see, and Nick was great at giving us a wide variety in heights, pointing things out, as well as a longer flight tha the other companies!
A very soft, controlled landing and fun to get involved with packing the balloon away with a prompt, efficient transfer back.
Just overall a fabulous experience with a friendly, efficient and highly experienced team.
One of those lifetime memories - thank you!

A Tuesday night in July began gloomy. Fortunately by the time we were due to fly the skies cleared. Nick and Steve met us both friendly professional and reassuring. Given clear instructions 8 of us set off after a couple of gusty starts. Beautiful scenery over Cheddar Gorge land marks pointed out as we flew. Landing in a field next to the Glastonbury Pyramid was a highlight. Balloon packed refreshments drunk and back to the start in a Land Rover. First Flight for us definitely not the last. From start to finish Nigel, Nick and the rest of the First Flight team were superb. First time ballooning for us so didn't know what to expect. Booked a private flight for a special occasion and on the planned flight date the weather wasn't great. They could easily have taken us up but jnstead of they wanted to make it a worthwhile experience so delayed it to the Sunday evening. The flight was amazing, right over Cheddar Gorge on a peaceful, sunny autumn evening. Nigel was informative and knowledgeable about the area and made it a top experience! It is an interactive experience, helping the team get the balloon up and down. All finished off with a complimentary cider to celebrate a great flight. Well worth doing!!

Thanks for the great review Martin and for your understanding of the reasons why we didn't fly on your specified date. Whilst we will always try for a specific date, as you say, we will only go if we think it will be the best possible flight we can give you. For many people it is a once in a lifetime experience, and therefore it should be as special as possible. I'm glad it proved to be so. Many thanks for booking.

Oh my this was incredible! Having been stuck in a small London flat for the past year, the chance to get up into the sky to look out over the beautiful British countryside in all its glory was a wonderful and truly revitalising experience.
Big hats off to Nick and his team for making the entire trip as seamless and as fun as possible. Obviously the trip is weather-dependent but they did their absolute best to get us up there as soon as they were able. And the timing couldn't have been more perfect; the lovely, bright afternoon gave unparalleled views across the landscape and Nick was also very knowledgeable about the area.
I was a touch nervous at first but once you're up there it's surprisingly still and peaceful; you don't even notice that you're moving and Nick did a great job at providing reassurance!
The trip was topped off with a few glasses of fizz as we watched the sun go down, inhaling the spring grass in a farmer's field where we had landed. Glorious! I couldn't think of a better experience, especially for urban folk, as we slowly ease our way out of lockdown...

An amazing experience from start to finish. You get to help set up and pack away the balloon (if you want to) which really makes you feel part of the experience even more. Nick is excellent at instructing and piloting, and with John they make you feel safe while ensuring you have a good time.
Super smooth flight, stunning views and great conversation about what you are flying over made the whole thing very worth while. 100% would do again.

Nick, the owner and pilot, and his support team were excellent. From my initial enquiry, to booking, pre-flight communication and on the day experience it was faultless. Nick made everyone feel at ease with his relaxed approach and shared a wealth of knowledge about the local landmarks and the ballooning industry. Perfect way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

Hello! We will be arriving to Bristol by train and will not have personal transportation, per se. May I ask what options are available to accommodate this scenario, if any? Additionally, we are short notice with this and maybe the timing is too short. September 15, Tuesday?

Hi, thanks for your interest in my flights. The flight is planned for about an hour but to do that you will need to put aside about 3hrs from meeting time to returning to the launch site after landing.
