Middling Park

Zhongshan Park is a bustling city park. Unfortunately, the loud dance music from the grandma dance troupe took away from the enjoyment, but the park is big enough that we were able to escape it, mostly.

There’s a roller skating rink in the park next to the Zoo. The zoo is small, but has a couple nice features. There’s a bird show and you can do a short horse ride (which our little ones loved). The water in the park is full of amazing Water Lillies! Very beautiful.

There is a small amusement park as well, which charges by the ride, so if you just want to ride the rollercoaster or the Viking ship, you can. The Ferris Wheel offers great views. Rides are about 20rmb per person.

If you missed Zhongshan Park, it’s be ok. But if you’re looking for a couple of hours to enjoy before your plane/train ride, it’s a good spot to kill time.

I spent a couple of hours here reading my book and chilling out. The park is great to walk round and awesome to hear the birds, a first for me in China. Strange think, a local asked to take a photo of me, clearly not to many westerners come here!

A very welcoming park near the center of a city. This park boasts an ok zoo and a decent sized amusement park with cheap rides for kids of all ages and good Chinese street food snacks. If you are killing time in Yinchuan, this park is way better than the mall.
